Kogasa is probably going to come back as a (mid/extra stage)boss, or as a secret playable character.

Oh, and Sanae is one of ZUN's favorite touhous, if it hasn't been obvious yet. She had awesome an awesome theme and spellcards in MoF, made a Kogasa-surprise-like cameo in SA, became playable in UFO, and was included as one of the main three heroines from DS's extra stage.
ZUN loves her no matter what the fans have said/will say.

As much as I would love for Mima to be in TD, I know there's a high chance that she won't be. But I swear if she is in the game, I'll eat my shorts.

Also, about that live stream with ZUN being disgusted at all the people yelling 'MIMA-SAMAAAAA~!', I think his disgust was more because of how rude these spammers were rather than him being disgusted at the mention of Mima. If it were me, I'd be disgusted at them for doing that, too. They could've been more civilized, really.

Very true. I love Mima, but annoying fanboys are annoying. (Main reason I hate Final Fantasy 7....)

That's probably why Mima isn't ever showing her face - she's disgusted by them all. (Or something.)

She is the umbrella, since she was formed from an abandoned umbrella. It's possible the girl is also her though, not just a projection.

Also on topic, I'm betting it's 7 new girls, though a Mima or Orin appearance would be fine too.

You know, I actually thought it was real the first time I listened to it.

Not as good as Deified Submarine Palace, but I didn't hate it like the others did.

If the game comes out and I don't hear this theme, I won't even notice.
