I loved King of the Hill. I was out of the demographic to appreciate the way it looked at Texas, but I really enjoyed how the writing level was not only written for an older audience, but didn't often pander for cheap, low-brow laughs. However, I haven't watched the show in years so I can only speak from experience, but when I stopped watching I preferred it over the Simpsons by a long-shot.

I will pipe in and say that KitH is one of the most well-written, clever, and hilarious pieces of animated media, and everyone who disagrees is a dummy.
