I won't talk down to the generation coming up. Of course there were things I didn't have growing up that many of you do, just as your kids will have things you never dreamed possible. In the long run, the only advice I can give to this generation is: Look at the mistakes your elders made, and really understand them. This will help you avoid them. Don't let them impose their obsoleting worldview on you. Treat those younger than you with respect and kindness. And try to leave this world a little bit better than you found it. Yes. I think this thread has run its course now. I'll be locking this up now. |
