I need a save for Touhou Soccer 2 that has all characters and moves unlocked.
The old Megaupload link is now dead due to reasons everyone knows about. Can someone drop it onto Mediafire or something please?

Do fairies regenerate indefinitely every time they get killed?  Basically, they're immortal, right?

They embody nature, so yeah, pretty much. You could try and extrapolate that they only exist as long as their associated piece of nature exists, but ehhhh.

Shikeiki herself comments that she generally doesn't get the chance to judge fairies (because they never actually die). Although Cirno's an outlier such that Shikieki worries that someday Cirno might end up in a situation or state where she will be killed/killable.

Is there any mention of fairies in Japanese folklore, or are they all foreigners in Gensokyo?

I heard that ZUN is taking a break from making Touhou games after TD.  Is this true?

Instead of asking us for confirmation or denial, you should have asked your ear for their source to begin with. "I heard it from somewhere else" isn't a valid answer either lol.

This is just me speaking, but even "taking a break" after the UFO-HSTS-DS-GFW onslaught could be anything from actually taking a bit of a break to "after the production of Post-Mysticism I'll be working on the next main game instead of more offshoots". Again though, if this truly happened, it would probably be mentioned everywhere and we probably would have known this back since Comiket. Yes, of course ZUN would be the "source" of the news, but your friend claiming he said it doesn't sound very well-supported. First of all I'd give the benefit of the doubt to ZUN, but again, if he was right, there would probably be sources also claiming this, other than him. There's just been no other mention of it that I can tell, and it's just healthy skepticism.

Thanks!  He thinks that there won't be a new Touhou game this year due to production on Post-Mysticism.

I would agree with him there. It is hard to tell how long it takes for Zun to create games after a game. If he is doing other stuff, like
Post-Mysticism, you should expect no games this year, but be pleasantly surprised if something does come up.

What's with Touhou Wiki suddenly calling phantoms "yuureis"?  I know "yuurei" is the Japanese pronunciation, but why the sudden change?

And also, what's the correct way for calling Youmu's title, 半分幻の庭師, in PCB?  Half-Ghost Gardener or Half-Fantasy Gardener?  It's called by the former in the story script page for PCB, but the character title page calls it by the latter.  And just so you know, Google Translate translates the "ghost" and "fantasy" part as "phantom".

Thanks in advance!

It isn't technically a mistake, but its creation was mistaken. Hikaruxz and some others suddenly thought it would be a great idea to completely misinterpret the established terms for Ghost (亡霊) and Phantom(幽霊) on the wiki; mentally equating them to the same thing despite the differences being clear to begin with. The argument was that in english, ghost and phantom pretty much mean the same thing, but it japanese folklore they're different. Regardless though, the english non-difference means absolutely nothing when the connotations were already obvious. He then tried to support this with dictionary entries despite, again, having nothing to do with the issue. NForza argued against this but Hikaru's stubbornness forced some sort of draw that obviously still ended up in their favor. I'm not sure if it's going to go back right now, but frankly it annoys me too. Especially with the whole using-a-japanese-word-in-an-english-context-despite-there-being-established-english-terms-for-the-word, which by convention should not be done.

I'd say half-ghost.

I have always had different connotation for ghosts and phantoms. Ghost always just meant "earthbound spirit," but phantom has had more malevolent meaning (Le fantome de l'opera has a lot to do with it I'm sure).

I don't know what is being translated to what, but as long as it is consistent, I am okay with it. The difference between Yuurei and Bourei
is that one is more spiritual in nature than the other I guess. So, Yuurei would be those little spirit thingies and Bourei would be Yuyuko.
However, the profile lists the Prismriver Sisters as Yuurei, so there is probably some other difference. Generally, according to PMiSS, Bourei
are grudge spirits or something. So, someone like Murasa would probably fall under Bourei.

Only the issue isn't with the Japanese words; it's using Japanese words for things which already have an English word, and confusing the meanings in the process.

And funnily enough, Murasa is apparently a "funayuurei" (船幽霊).

Hey there, guys.

I don't suppose any of you could confirm for me when Reitaisai 9 is?
From what I can gather, it's on the 27th of May this year, but as I'm travelling to Japan around that time I want to ensure that I go to it while I'm there.

Thank you in advance ^^

So what is a fire rat and how do you make a robe from it?

I read somewhere that  it came from china?

Burn it. Kill it. Skin it.

Alternatively: attack Kaguya and loot her stuff.

Well, just who can tell me the characters' numbers.
As I know, because of the tune, Satori is ⑤ and because of the sign on the weapon, Utsuho is ⑥, ZUN numbered Cirno as ⑨. But what about other numbers? Can you tell me?

Which, in my opinion, makes no sense. She does look the oldest, however.

You mean Yukari said that she is 17 years old forever?
Well, Rumia is 10 because of her nick name and Sakuya is 16 because of what "Izayoi" means, then Iku is 19 because of the tune.
Someone told me that Nitori is 2 but why?
Oh it's quite puzzle for me, I should know it because I want to do something if I know those numbers mean.

Maybe because "ni" sounds similar to 2 in Japanese?  :derp:
On that note, 8 could represent Kanako. (Byakuren and Eirin are also possible candidates.)

I believe that "Ya" means 8, as is with the word in their name. Hence Yukari, Kanako  and Eirin gets the same old women joke. Yuyuko & Byakuren aren't technically 8's, but are still part of the age bracket.
