>She writes. "I'm standing right beside you. But I kind of get drug along when you do things. I did see my shadow was kind of stuck to yours, though. I thought that was causing it, that and you've got real colors. I've tried to touch you and stuff, but it just didn't work."

>She nods to your first question. When you ask your second, she says, "No, it's just pointed toward you all the time no matter where I go."
>"Just the basic stuff. I don't think I'll be able to do anything, though, since I can't touch anything with them."

>Once you stop moving, her shadow starts to stretch. Soon it is quite distant from you, reaching to the end of the house. She waves, though the gesture is hard to interpret, given how stretched the shadow is.

>How clearly can we see our own shadow, anyway? With hers on top of it?
>Take a small step to the side

>Not very clearly; unless she moves away from your shadow, you tend to see her more than your own just due to her tendency to move independently.
>You take a small step to the side. Her shadow follows you. It remains stretched out.

>She makes a dismissive wave.
>You walk toward the edge of the island.  The tip of the shadow falls over the edge as you do, until you move over it and it completely disappears due to having nothing to fall upon. But until that point, you could see it at your feet.
