I'm sorry, but that part made me laugh in the most cynical fashion over the "commies are the enemy" presumption.
And yes, the proper response to the outcry about the color scheme is either "tweak the shading to reduce any notes of eye-bleeding" (the background yellow is rather bright now that I look at it more closely, while it's darker on Muffin's site and not used in large blocks) or "yeah yeah it's temporary just let the joke ride out."
Really, it's not much different from the complaints about the first custom skin for CPMC...

Yesterday was Remembrance Day. The symbol of Remembrance Day is the poppy. Poppies are red. And red is the glorious colour of the people!
