Excerpts, huh? Well, I'm not unhappy with how this one turned out:

He felt bound by a purpose that he could not throw away, he told me, forcing him along a path of life beyond his choosing. I believed him then, and I have all the more reason to believe him now, that he remained living for a purpose that he was destined to carry out ? whether he wished it or not.?

For me, this is a real grind. But it's fun; a marathon test of writing diligence. I haven't been motivated like this in a while. Just taking it one step at a time.

My eyes close and open. I have begun the dreaming. It has been said that dreams are a window to the unconscious, the part of one's mind that cannot be easily seen. It is to better understand myself that I have begun this sojourn into my mind. Perhaps I will "have a jolly good show" as the stereotype of the gentleman would have me say. Why, people will ask, why have you begun a journey into the depths of your mind? Surely you could go to an expert and see these things with greater ease.

That is true. An expert would surely be able to see the images and phantasms that I will perceive on this path. But it is for that very reason that I must do this alone. Surely, the person who understands me the best is myself, right?

My eyes close as I fall into the world of my mind. Thus has begun the first of my dreams...

I have every member of MotK on my writing buddies list, plus like 10-15 other people I know, that I'm competing against tracking.  So I am not having a problem following it; I'm just amused that the opening post isn't even trying anymore 8D

...Damn.  I did not get enough writing done today.  Didn't even do the requisite 1667; so much for maintaining a 4k average.

Mostly because I had to sleep through most of the day and have to work what little of it remains away.  Damnit.

Meanwhile, another friend of mine happily informed me today that she started over yesterday, and hit 15k words in a single day when her muse hit her like a brick.  Damnit.
