From what you can tell, he's yelling about, "gone"..."thief"..."barrel". And a slew of curses.

"I put out a barrel to be shipped in front of my house here, and went inside. When I came out, I saw the winged thief make off with it."

Well, the barrel wasn't full. I guess I missed that in my description. So she could have made off with it.

Both you and Reimu head off towards the schoolhouse. The kids don't seem to be in session right now, but the front door is left open.

Nothing unusual seems to be around.

Both of you head into the school. Inside looks like a single classroom, with desks facing a chalkboard. No sign of a thief or Tear.

From back in the doorway, you hear a voice. "What are you doing in my classroom?"
Looking around to see who it is, you recognize the funny hat lady from the stand.

She cuts off her sentence to point at your cart. "Are those charms?..." She looks very wide-eyed and nervous.

You follow the footprints for a while, leading you to the Forest of Magic, but still close to the edge of the village. The prints lead up to this shack that looks half-blackened by ash, and half-newly constucted.

You can see Keine visibly freaking out.

You walk around a bit, looking for the little fairy. Around the back of the house, you see a very conspicuous barrel that appears to be....shaking?
