>"I think so," she says. "It was just you and me in the mansion. There was a... forest, beyond the door. Or as was it a river? I'm... not sure. And I remember meeting Mugetsu when we were..." She pauses and frowns. "Well, she showed up when I was opening those doors in the mansion. And then I saw her in the woods, with all those shadows. ...wait, was that...?" She shakes her head. "I don't remember which came first. You know how dreams sometimes are. You're not always sure what order some things happened in, when you wake up."

>Renko steps back into the room, carrying a light blue flannel blanket. It doesn't seem especially thick.
>"This was the best I could find," she says. "I pinched it from the supply room down the hall. There's still a nurse on duty on the way out, though. She might say something if she sees us walk out with it."

>"Fair enough," Renko says. She hands Gengetsu the blanket. "Just make sure we can't see the wings, ok?"
>Gengetsu nods, then folds her wings around herself as best she can, wrapping the blanket around them and holding it together with her hands. You have to admit, she does look rather like someone freezing in the middle of July, but you can notice only a hint of her wings' bulk beneath the blanket. If you didn't know they were there, you mightn't notice anything.
>Renko gives her an appraising look. "It'll do, I guess."

>Mugetsu frowns at the suggestion, although Gengetsu seems rather undisturbed. Renko looks at her uncertainly. "Well, I guess we'll do we what can," says.
>Renko nods. "And yeah, I'm ready if you are."
>"Thanks again," Maribel says. "Both of you."
>"Rest well, dreamer," Gengetsu says. "May your slumber be ever peaceful and free from nightmares."

>"I was planning on it," she says. "Not sure what kind of reaction you'd get. No offense, but you guys kinda look like you belong at a con or a cosplay cafe or something, not a hospital."
>"Renko!" Maribel says, frowning at her.
>"Hey, I'm just saying," Renko says, putting her hands up. "Doesn't bother me, but you know how some people are going to think. Anyway," she says, turning to you. "I'll go and tell her and bring her back this way. You just walk on past, ok? I'll catch up when she's satisfied here. Meet me outside the front doors."

>"Outside the front doors is fine," Renko says. "I'll see you there." She walks out of the room and down the hallway.
>Stepping out, you see her walk up to the desk that Marisa stole the telephone book from earlier and exchange a few words with the person manning it. The nurse quickly stands up and starts back towards Maribel's room alongside Renko. Your group steps out and casually walks past her. Despite the preoccupation on the nurse's face and Renko's effort to distract her with chatter, you still feel her curious and somewhat disapproving gaze upon you. However, she makes no effort to stop you for flagrant blanket violations, and you make it to the branch in the corridor without further issue.

>You head back to the elevator and press the button to open it. A few moments later the doors slide open.
>"I thought we were supposed to be heading outside," Gengetsu says, frowning as she looks at the tiny room beyond the doors.
>"It's some sort of strange outside machine," Mugetsu says, stepping into the elevator. "You step inside and it takes you to other places."
>"Really?" Gengetsu stares at it dubiously. "It looks mundane to me." Still, she steps inside along with the two of you.
>You press the button for the first floor and the doors close.

>"The outside world is full of amazing things, isn't it?" You nearly jump as you hear a new voice behind you. There is a strange refined quality to it. It is also vaguely familiar...

>You hear a soft chuckle. "Such formality. I suspect my good health was not the first thing to cross your mind, no?"

>You turn around and look at Yukari. She is reclining languidly across a gap in the rear of the elevator, a folded fan in one white gloved hand, while the other rests across the side of her face. She regards you with a hint of a smile; her eyes are inscrutable.
>She chuckles again. "And I suppose the impolite ones will follow, then?"

>Yukari gives you a look of mild surprise. "Gengetsu is here, is she not? What else would there be? Incidentally, well done with that. I knew I could count on you to be up to the task."
