>You mutter your dismay just moments before you plunge into the lake. Again.
>You feel the water rush up around you as you break the surface. It feels oddly... dry. Wait, that's not water at all! You blink and realize that what you feel brushing past your limbs are leaves. You're descending through a thick canopy. Looking down, you can see the forest floor some feet below you, rugged and brown with little underbrush. There is no sign of a lake anywhere.

>You are in the middle of a forest of tall mature trees, spaced widely apart from each other. There is little underbrush except for some moss and scattered low-lying plants.
>You think you can hear someone walking, a short distance to the east.

>Mugetsu draws a deep breath, then slowly nods.
>You head towards the sound, making your way around the trees and gnarled roots, protruding out of the ground. While the forest is uniformly dark, the spaces between the trees give fairly good sight lines, and you are able to spot a moving figure before you get too close to her. She has blond hair, with a bright red ribbon in it, and is wearing a pale pink dress, so light as to be almost white. She is side-on to you, and walking slowly, almost lazily forward. She has large white wings.

>You walk towards her, Mugetsu falling behind you as you advance. You get within 10 feet of her, and she still doesn't seem to note or react to your presence. You're fairly certain you would have been easy to hear by this point.

>You call out to Gengetsu. She stops moving, tilting her head to the side a little.

>Gengetsu tilts her head to the other side. "Sister?" The word has a strange, flat quality to it.
>You motion to Mugetsu. With visible hesitation, she shifts a little from your side.
