I'd Like To Meet Her...or not...
« on: September 15, 2010, 11:28:10 PM »
Any girls from the series you'd love to meet? Any you won't want to meet?

I'd like to meet Marisa, Cirno, Mokou, Meiling and Okuu.
-Marisa because it seems she knows how to find a good time, even she doesn't mean to.
-Cirno because she's adorable and would be an entertaining character to hang around with.
-Mokou because she seems like the tomboyish girl who'd also harbor a soft spot for the good things in life. I'd like to ask her what being immortal is like and hwo she plans to live through her eternity (I mean fighting Kaguya has to get old SOMETIME)
-Meiling because she's a beauty pretty much. I like her character.
-And Okuu because she's a badass bird. 'Nuff said.

I wouldn't want to run into Rumia. For good reason,

Patchouli - Librarian, genius, skilled magician, favorite Touhou.  If her and Remi would allow, I'd love to take up residence in the library as well.  I'd imagine it'd be a pretty safe place (barring Marisa, who'd be stupid enough to break into the SDM?), and Patchy herself seems fairly docile and level-headed when unprovoked.

Koishi - Seems like she'd be an interesting person to talk to.  Not too big on being around her sis though. :<

Yuyuko - Again, she'd be interesting to have a conversation with. :V  Also, there'd be multiple benefits to letting her invoke my death, such as a guaranteed afterlife in Hakugyokurou, and, according to Patchouli, the ability to learn and use magic as a ghost.

Sanae/Kanako/Suwako - They're all in my top 15, all seem like agreeable people, all came from the real world as well, and the shrine would be a relatively safe place compared to the Hakurei Shrine (powerful youkai like Yukari visiting, Reimu extortion (ry )

Probably good enough for now.  Everything was unintentionally considered from the viewpoint of "You are dropped into Gensokyo, who do you talk to?"

Definitely Kogasa, so I could take her home :V teach her how to surprise people in a way that doesn't get her brutally danmaku'd.

And Mystia, because i like Mystia.

Oh! Silly me, how could I forget about Sanae? Hell, it may be Future!Earth, but it's still Earth, damnit. And she's a mecha fangirl (or so I'm guessing from 12.3 story dialogue)~

I clicked on this topic after catching up with Maribel Quest, saw this, and chuckled.

Anyway, I'd like to meet Patchy for all the reasons Esoterica mentioned, Parsee because she could use someone to talk to who doesn't have alcohol breath, and Mystia because lamprey is aquatic food and I love such things.

And as much as I'd love to talk with Satori, I'm not so sure that being so close to Utsuho's reactor is a good idea. At least Parsee's bridge is far enough away, but the Palace of the Earth Spirits is right at the entrance to the sea of fire.

Bwahaha.

Everyone seems to want to meet Patchouli, and I'm certainly not an exception. Others I'd want to meet would include the two main protags, the Moriya shrine bunch, Mokou and Keine, and the Eientei bunch. Folks I'd want to avoid would be the generally younger youkai (Mystia, Chen, Cirno, Rumia, etc.) that are less likely to hold back against a human, or are more likely to consider a human as food.

Wriggle. Because she's one of my favorites and one of the few characters I can see myself having a conversation with without fearing for my life.

Also Alice to ask about doll manipulation, but I doubt that conversation would go anywhere. :x

Keine would also probably be cool to talk to and might be able to give a definitive to the burning unanswered touhou questions that keep me up at night!

People I would avoid: Pretty much everyone else. Including Reimu. With the possible exception of the Moriya Shrine which also might be safe.
As much as I'd love to talk to Parsee I'd be too concerned she would attack me in indiscriminate rage. :ohdear:

I want to meet Yuyuko because I like to eat like she does.
And I'll then run away before she eats me. But then again, balls of phosphorescent light have no taste.
They think I'll think that they'll do (A) so they'll do (B) because I wouldn't think they'd think of that but then because they might think I know what they're thinking they'll do (A) after all because I wouldn't think they'd think that way.

  • Patchouli, for reasons previously stated.
  • Yukari, I think she's awesome.  :(
  • Utsuho. Even though it would be dangerous. Live life on the edge
  • Marisa, because she's a five star badass.

I actually wouldn't mind meeting anyone because most of the touhous are interesting enough to meet. Disregarding the ones that will kill on you sight. (rumia)

First on my list is my darling Youmu. I want to encourage her not to give up taking care of that little black hole and assure her that Youki would be proud of what she's done. Maybe have a friendly spar (No spellcards) with her too. I wonder if she's ambidextrous, with her two swords?

After that I want to meet up with Marisa, because I want to bath in that aura of life she gives out. I wonder if she'll steal my precious thing?

Then I hope she'll drag me over to the Hakurei Shrine, because I want to donate something to the bimbo miko who lives there and see her reaction. She's only grumpy because of her lack of donations, no?

Sauntering down to the SDM, I'll look up the Great Unmoving Library and spend a most likely silent night reading, and possibly falling asleep somewhere along the line. Would be happy if we could talk a bit though.

To round up my visit to the world of illusions, I'll  wander around the Bamboo Forest until the beautiful immortal shows up. After all, I'm a fan of yakitori, and I want to watch the cooking process. Shouldn't have to involve Mystia since she's always been alive even after multiple servings of yakitori, right? ...Right?

Shikieiki, because being able to hold my own with her in a conversation on morality is really appealing.
Sanae, because she reminds me of everything I loved in my best friend/girlfriend in high school, and she just seems like she could use a best friend from the outside world to be a fangirl with.
Koishi, because she's awesome. Though, I'm biased, since she's White Rose's main character. :V
Satori, because she seems quite friendly. In fact, she's starved for company. I would love to hang out with her.
Keine and Akyu for the same reason: I love history, and I love to hear stories of times past. They would love an audience.
Ibara Kasen, because I'd like to know what it takes to be a hermit myself, and because I'm just plain curious about her.
Definitely Aya, because... well, she's Aya. I would love to talk with her about all the interesting things she sees in Gensokyo. Hatate too, since she's even funnier than Aya. An argument between them would be incredibly funny to sit in on.
And out of left field: Tenshi, because befriending her would be a whole lot of fun; there'd never be a dull moment with her.

As for who I wouldn't like to meet? The ones that stand out are Yukari, Remilia, and Nue, since they are (in varying degrees) dangerously whimsical and downright annoying, not to mention insanely dangerous in their different ways. Granted, hanging out with Tenshi is still very dangerous, but funnier too.

Tewi, I wanna cause some trouble.  Also she seems like one of the funnest characters around.
Marisa.  Same thing, fun and causing trouble.
Lunesa, I really like the violin and for some reason she's my favorite sister.
Yuugi, now she seems like a really fun person to hang around.
Iku, no particular reason.  I'd just like to meet Iku.
Yuuka, ya know on second thought, I better not.

I'd want to meet Flandre the most, really. Unstable or not, she seems quite lonely. I'd like to be able to give her some companionship.

Same for Satori.

Utsuho seems to be pretty fun when she's not insane with power.

And of course I would love to meet the entire SDM group.

Reisen and Yukari seem like interesting conversational partners.

Honestly, there's nobody I'd really want to avoid altogether. Everyone is interesting in Gensokyo.

Come to think of it, I'd like to meet Yukari first... assuming there's still the issue of the language barrier that needs to be fixed. I could see Yukari getting around that (border of languages?) fairly easy-like.

I'd have to get over my fear of heights first, but I would totally want to visit the Moriya Shrine for a few reasons.

Kanako, Suwako, and Sanae seem like they would be a pleasure to hang around.
The top of the youkai mountain is probably a cold, windy, rainy paradise. I love cold, windy, rainy weather.
Related to above, I'm sure snuggling up next to a stove inside the shrine would be incredibly cozy.

To be a bit more on topic... Kanako seems like she would be rather interesting to talk to and hang out with. I imagine that she's not quite the mega-bitch we think she is. Suwako would just be a blast to hang with and Sanae would understand me since she's from the outside world too.

Assuming I'd be safe, I'd probably want to visit Ran and maybe Yukari.
Wonder how it would feel attempting to talk to them, after all, they're pretty smart (and I r stoopid).
Additionally, Sanae, due to the whole outside world thing and maybe she can protect me from various dangerous things if I devote my faith to the shrine.

If I'm not safe from attacks, I suppose I'd probably visit Kourindou and trade some of my stuff that might interest Rinnosuke or attempt to help with the "how things work" part in exchange for a place to stay. A job at Kourindou doesn't sound too bad if I can manage to get hired either.

All of them.

Why? Because, as I said the last time this subject came up: I don't know about you guys, but I don't run into flying, danmaku-spewing, magical girls in my day-to-day life. At least as far as I know. I would love to meet - hell, even witness - any one of these girls. I'm really not picky about this. It could even be Chen.

Hina, so I could ride on her ribbon tails as she spins~ ...and possibly become an oscillating, human cannon of vomit.
Suika, because Fall is coming up and power of gathering leaves equals profits! :derp: And because it's Suika.
Yuuka, because I'm probably a closet masochist. Well...I suppose Tenshi could come, too.  :(
Unzan, because an old man made of clouds has got to be doing something right.
Eirin, to purchase that medicine that ensures good dreams!
Marisa, because of free, destructive meteor showers. And I have a great many things that are itching to be Master Spark'd.
Muukyu :(

OK, having said what I did, I think the real question for me is "Who could you meet?" Assuming you ended up in Gensokyo somehow, who would be accessible?

I think Kaguya would be pretty easy to meet. She's one of the few people in Gensokyo who actually likes to have visitors. She likes showing off her Lunarian stuff, and telling long stories. In fact, as Purvis pointed out in IRC, the problem wouldn't be meeting her; it'd be getting away.

What about getting lost in the forest, if you're the one visiting her?
On that note, the people in the human village would probably be pretty accessible and they wouldn't be dangerous to you either.
