Agreed. Our best shot is a single turnaround surgical strike. Using up that much inefficiently while also giving away its purpose would be a bad idea.

Hope Renko's still standing.

Don't we still have the bolt of silk out? If so why aren't we wrapping it around her face?

How do we propose to pour a bottle of oil while time is stopped?

I was pretty sure things we were still holding worked just fine, didn't they?

Splashing motion at her face from point-blank will work in either case, most likely. But yes, timestop tends to be a little flexible about stuff a time manipulator is holding/touching. Especially inanimate items. How far they can stray from that possession while still moving is ambiguous and part of the reason for the "smear" idea.

Well, projectiles at least can be thrown slightly away from ourselves, and retain their moment when the timestop ends. This is how Sakuya manages to set up knives during timestop that continue to fly afterwards. Even if the splash of oil doesn't get more than an inch out of the bottle, it should land on Alice the moment time resumes.

But 'pouring' onto her arms makes for both a smaller target and slower oil - much less reliable. Hence the distinction I used. :V Also, I'm not sure how much of the oil would escape the bottle in one 'splash,' so... oh, whatever.

True, I wasn't thinking about the consequences of timestop on the oil when I said pour. It just seemed a more accurate way to do it.

How about this:

>If the oil doesn't appear to pour freely out of the bottle onto her hands while time is stopped, just splash some of it out the vial onto them

>You are dead. Dead dead.
>You try to open yourself to the bracelet like Marisa said, Unfortunately, you aren't certain if it works, you have never tried it before.
>Time comes to a stop. You are very glad that Sakuya trained you how to do this right.
>You dash toward Alice grabbing an uncorking the vial, and a heartbeat passes.
>You pout out some of the liquid over her right hand. It slows as it plummets, quickly freezing in midair over your target. Another heartbeat passes, and you feel pressure begin to build up in your chest.
>You pour some over her left hand. It too stops in midair. A heartbeat passes. The pressure is making it hard to breathe.
>You splash what is left toward her torso and face, practically emptying the bottle. Another heartbeat passes, and you cannot hold it any longer. Time moves once again.
>The oil flies through the air, splashing onto Alice. She starts to say something, then the oil splashes her.  She staggers back from surprise.

>You try to dash around her, but the fact she is staggering back and there are puppet strings in the way make it a little difficult.

I was aware of that. I think it's worth it at this point since dropping her still means we'll have her at our mercy, as long as we don't get it on our hands.

We can tackle her from behind with much less risk, both in terms of oil, and her facing AWAY from us, once we can maneuver there.
Although these dolls may still present a problem even if Alice herself is incapacitated like that.

If you can get behind her, it'd be better, yes. But good luck with that.

Frankly, if all these dolls are still going to be firing at us, being prone and semi-immobile while we restrain her is probably a bad idea, period.

Well, it's more the control of her.

Since we can use Alice as a shield if we have control of her.

Not if we're also shaking too hard to use her as a proper human shield.
