I wonder if the silk would be a good way to apply the oil...

That said, I need to sleep at a decent hour, so I guess I'll leave the rest of this to you guys, at least for now. Guerrilla warfare!
There was something here once. Wonder what...

>Is the vial of oil uncorked or something? Is so, and the cork is not difficult to remove, put it back on. We may need to dodge things with it in our hands

>Since we've been spotted, step up the speed and fly towards the front door.

Worth a shot.

>Since we've been spotted, step up the speed and fly towards the front door.
>Quickly survey the inside
>Try and snipe the doll before it reports, if no others are in immediate sight.

>You have a couple yards worth of silk; enough to make an ersatz cloak or ghost costume.
>It is not uncorked, but the cork is loose enough now to flick it off with your thumb.
>You speed up and head back through the front door. You see the doll who spotted you flying for the west wing. You hit her with a line of speedy shots, and drop her to the ground. You notice there are several other dolls here as well, a couple watching the door you fled through, and two flanking the entrance to the library, which is still half open. They begin to fire on you.

Suggestion to ignore the two guarding the door we went through and beeline for the library door, taking the two flanking it out.

I'll leave you imaginative combatant-types to sort out the details. :V

>Fire on the dolls flanking the library as we approach

>You dash toward the library, moving around the thankfully sparse shots the dolls are firing at you.
>You shoot at the two dolls guarding the door, striking down one as the other dives out of the way.
>Flying into the library, and find a flurry of shots coming at you!

>They are coming from ahead, You think it's Patchouli shooting at you?
>You give a lovely squawk of of surprise as you try to come to a halt in midair.
>Reversing your momentum, you dash back outside just ahead of the shots and around the door. The bullets fly past you. Then the doll that dived away from your initial barrage looks at you, before getting to its knees and raising its hands in your direction.

>You move out of the way of the fallen doll's bullets; thankfully it isn't too hard, though you are certain the other two are probably coming for you now.
>Looking through the door, you see Patchouli standing there, leaning on a chair, and tersely gesturing for you to come inside.

>Moving on toward the west wing, you see a number of dolls in the hallway. They raise their hands as you enter.
