This is a touhou fan-game relleased at C78 by BlueMica, featuring remilia as main character and the game takes place on the scarlet devil mansion, you can see the other familiar characters from remilia's crew there too, such as sakuya or patchouli, as NPC's. It's a side-scrolling 2D platformer, with some RPG elements and a lot of dialogue. So much that it may be troublesome for people that doesn't understand japanese. The graphics are well presented and the animation is pretty fluid. The game has some elements similar to castlevania, because it's in a gothic atmosphere, and the whole setting of the game, like the mansion's locations such as the maids' room, kitchen or the magic library, could be compared to castlevania's geography, such as the alchemy laboratory, the marble gallery or the outer wall. The game's soundtrack is standard, probably some of them are based on arranges of the touhou original games. And the characters artwork is chibi and very cute/well done. I can't really comment much about the game, since I barely started and I'm having troubles to advance on it, because of the dialogue. So, I and some other people would most likely be interested on an english translation patch.

Sweetness and love~ ♥

Oh, is this out now?

The game looks really well-done, though like you said near-unplayable without being able to read Japanese.  It seems you can also play as Flandre, by the way.

Looks like an interesting game. Unfortunately,  it seems like Remilia and Flandre will be the only playable characters here.

Reminds me of Koumajou Densetsu.

Japanese progress: To the point where I can read a manga with the help of an electronic dictionary.

No playable Patchouli makes a game automatically terrible.

yeah, but flandre makes up for it

Flandre detracts points, actually.

But Remilia makes up for it.

Patchy would not be pleased that you're a Flan-hater.

I like all 3 >=P.

Anyway, is this game really that hard to play without understanding Japanese? It didn't APPEAR to be, I imagine that Genius of sapphiros requires more reading...

This game looks like Touhouvania done right..But without the uber art >=(

It can be a little confusing.  I blundered around for half the game before I figured out how to buy health upgrades, and I wouldn't have figured out the high jump and fly techs if it weren't for the Poolsh thread, but you can live without all but one of the accessories (and most of those accessories are easy to figure out if your can read katakana or common RPG terms).

As for gameplay... I think it demand a little much considering the controls.  I ran into too many places where you have to carefully line myself up to move through a trap but didnt have the fine control to do that well.  Might be my machine or skill, but it made playing with Flandre too frustrating to bother.   Remi at least gets the health upgrades so you can ignore that stuff.

EDIT: Some progress... Appearently I forgot to kill all the enemies in one level to get the key.
