Didn't the masseuse try to feel Yuki up at the party, thus adding stress? Relying on her to completely EASE stress, especially stress she caused, seems iffy. But eh, I'll go with it.

After the forge, we should build a library. Mai did mention it'd attach nicely, and it'll improve our research and spell-learning, I'd imagine.

Another dance party might get tiresome for our devils, who seem to like new, exciting things. Instead, Glenda can organize a show this week. In fact, some cultured theater just may do the trick of providing entertainment WITHOUT causing the devils to get rambunctious, thus making increased stress less likely. Dancer can participate in the show, as her skills will probably be useful, as well as any other devils that aren't already doing something.

Well theoretically its her literally her job to reduce people's stress, so even if she does try something she'll probably do more good than harm.

That and she was drunk during the party. Unless we have her going into work drunk all the time...

A theater production is an excellent idea. In before performance of the works of Marquis de Sade.

I agree, the works of deSade are dead boring anyway, and lets assign Farmgirl to do some gardening.

Wisdom here. :)

If you do break seven specials (like you have here) each poster will get one based off their last post, then I'll keep cycling until the week is full.  The more you all agree of course the more likely you'll get multiple specials you prefer.

For now, I agree on assessing the grounds for a library, cooking a cake, arranging the front room, and preparing the show.

No need to go overboard and cause a chain of events that will inevitably result in Yuki being found hanging from the ceiling fan by a noose around her neck with a tear-splattered note laying nearby.

Glenda should also receive license to recruit no more than three other devils (other than Dancer, who should already be participating) to be actors in her show.

Week 3 Results

Building Phase

Ferra - "Finally!  Now I can get some real work done!"

Smithy:
Ferra   Smith   2   Produces 15 iron per week.

Ferra - "With this I can make tools as well.  Anything that doesn't require electricity."

Research Phase
Research for Patchouli - 10
Learned Empower Gem - At the cost of 1 gem and 100 mana you can store 50 mana for later use.

Yuki: "Expensive, but I'll probably need it for word shattering spells."

Quote from: Fluff
Yuki completed the now familiar ritual.  "I name you Helepolis!"

Helepolis looked confused for a moment.  "Where did you get that name from?"

Yuki pondered the matter for a moment.  "No clue."

"Oh well.  It isn't terrible."  The devil gave itself a once over seeming both relieved and dissapointed that nothing about it's lithe form had changed.  "Anyway, I'm specialized in helping people relax and feel better.  And realignment if anything's dislocated."

Yuki frowned.  "You aren't going to try to squeeze my breasts again are you?"

Helepolis shook her head.  "Not on the job! I'm a professional, and we've got enough bad publicity in the field. Though if you ask me to...."

Yuki shook her head.  "That's fine."

"Wait does that mean that when you aren't on the job...?"

"Please let me squeeze your boobs!"
Spells:
As a named devil her level is automatically increased by one.  For naming a devil, Morale and Max Morale have increased by 5.

Helepolis  Masseuse   1   Can act to remove d10+5 stress.

Helepolis: "Any time you need to relax, give me a call."

Special Actions

1: Have Mai research a spell:

Mai: "Sure."

Mai has learned 'Charm Devil."  At the cost of 10 mana she can remove all negative moods from a devil.  However the spell decreases morale.

2: Have Glenda give a show.

Glenda: "Kabuki!"
Yuki: "Modern Kabuki."
Glensa: "I can dig it."

Glenda and the succubi she picked to help were a stunning success!  Morale increased by 5.  Stress decreased by 4.  A few passing youkai paid to stay and watch, covering the performance and earning you $10.  You gain 1 Notoriety.

3: Assign Farmgirl to do some gardening

Farmgirl: "I planted some asparagus!"

You'll have asparagus... in 2 years.  Gain 1 stress.

4: Have Chou bake a cake.

Chou: "Let's try that recipe I got from the chatty orb thing I found in the fire...."

There was cake.  It was excellent.  Morale increased by 3.

5: Have Elle investigate paperwork cutting measures.

Elle: "I'll do my best...."

Elle's efficiency doubled for next week.

6: Used Bookstores

Eskarina: "It'd be easier to steal them.  But I'll see what I can find."

Her efforts would have been much more usefull if you'd had a library, but you did get a few books.  With their information you can attempt research on a "Planar Portal."

7: Streamline the Accounts

Cassia: "Hm... Perhaps if I made a petty cash fund...."

You can overdraw on money next week.

Quote from: Fluff
Yuki awoke in a cold sweat.

She wasn't sure what had caused this feeling of unease, but she knew something was wrong.  It wasn't just the thunder either.  There was a magic at play here.  One that didn't belong.

She quickly grabbed a robe and burst into the hallway looking for the source of her disquiet.  There was nothing other then the pounding rain.

The devils should still be up and about.  They needed less then half the sleep of a human, and they staggered their rest hours.

Yuki flew down the short hallways pausing when she saw a crumpled devil on the ground.  It was Ferra, her eyes were shut and she was mubling feverishly to herself, as if she was trapped in a nightmare.

Yuki's investigation was cut short by a scream, then the sound of Mai's ice barrage going off in the kitchen.  Yuki rushed to the scene to find her friend battling a shadowy figure while standing over the shattered remnants of a crude barricade.  Obviously one of the devils had countered the silence that had prevented Yuki from hearing the battle before.

As Mai's precision attacks kept the monster at bay Yuki called upon her own powers.  With a twist of her hand the figure exploded into a pillar of flame, which refused to die down for a full minute.

When the flames cleared the ghost was gone, as was the bad feeling.

Mai gave Yuki a nod of thanks before moving to help Marie with the few devils that had been injured.  Yuki just shook her head in frustration.  "What terrible luck."

Then she headed back into the mansion to get everyone together.  She'd thank them for their help again, then work on getting morale back up.

Events:
During a storm a ghost attacked the mansion!  You and Mai beat it off, but it hurt and frightened your devils before you destroyed it.  Marie prevented 9 injuries.  Architect was Injured.  Architect was Frightened.  Ferra was Frightened.  Bartender was Injured.  Artisan was Injured.  Morale dropped by 25.  You gained 2 stress.

Artisan is Injured and cannot be assigned tasks.
Bartender is Injured and cannot be assigned tasks.
Architect is Injured and cannot be assigned tasks.
Architect is Frightened and is less effective on tasks.
Ferra is Frightened and is less effective on tasks.
The weeks work causes you 1 stress.

The RNG hates you guys apparently....

I think we should build the mill first. We'll get more wood from it, and more wood means we'll be able to build more; otherwise, we'll be running very low on wood very soon.

Agreed with the naming of the Architect Apophis.

Also agreed with the Mill.  We need some more wood for later.

Just throwing this out there, but if we're attacked again, we should consider naming the Bodyguard due to the defense bonus.

Also, I'm suggesting that we should get Marie to put together some kind of First Aid class for the devils to make them a bit more competent if the mansion is attacked again.

If possible, I think we should go half and half with research by pouring half into the Planar Portal and half into Patchy's stuff.
