I think it may be time now to start considering the Fight Crime option each turn until we get that Barrier up, unless there are still spells open to be researched. I'm not terribly concerned if Mai gets injured.

I'm not saying we actually need to do it EVERY turn, but it's something to keep in mind. The last thing we need is a repeat of those two yahoos.

I like that Maid's Quarter. More maids theoretically means more things we can do. Or at least more fun mischiefs. Also get a defense tower going.

Shinki frowned in her normal cutesy fashion.  "Well, we seem to have gotten some threats from a

terrorist.  I believe the White Fox knows him.  The threats are in the forms of a riddle."

"The Puzzleman!" Mai clapped her hands together.  "I knew he must have escaped our last encounter!  We're right on it Commisoner!"

"That's goddess, or lady at the least," Yuki whispered.

"Thank you so much White Fox, Black Cat.  The riddle was carved into the market square fountain.  We hope you can get to the bottom of this quickly."

Sure enough there was a riddle carved into the fountain.  One that made absolutely no sense.

"There was an old fox in her den,
Who would only cry loudly for "CHEEEEEEEN."
But now where the mice stole away, this cat's going to play,
Find the riddle, or you'll have a bad day!"

Yuki thought the whole thing was garbage, but Mai peered at it like it had some sort of deep
meaning.  "It's another multi part riddle.  We'll have to remember the ones that came earlier.  Let's see.  This one means...."

"It means this guys' a moron," Yuki said.  She cast a quick tracing spell on the riddle, then smiled as she got a solid match.  "Thought so.  Poetry that bad's gotta be a signature.  The culprit's in a warehouse on the south side."

Mai blinked at her.  "But I just figured out we were suppose to go to Hokkai for the next riddle."

"Yeah too bad.  I'm not going to play along with this idiot's gaming fantasies."

Yuki jumped through the window to the surprise of everyone involved.  She also had to admit this part was cool too.

With a few quick moves she disabled half the guards, while Mai took out the rest.  The man in the stupid question mark costume just stared at them in shock.

"How!  How did you solve my puzzles so quickly?  It's just not possible!  Travel times alone...."

Yuki smiled.  "Ever hear of the Gordian knot?"

"Huh?"

Yuki punched the man in the face, laying him out.  "Kinda goes like that."

Mai frowned.  "That was anticlimactic."

"But fun," Yuki replied.

"Well at least you're getting into the spirit of things now."

Yuki's eyes widened.  "Wait!  No I'm not!  I'm just doing this because I don't want you to get hurt, I mean, beacuse you dragged me along I mean, Augh!"

"Yep.  I also remembered to record it this time."

Weren't we supposed to lose Notoriety from that event?  And technically wouldn't researching Break 4th Wall break the 4th wall?  But yeah, I would say focus on Patchy's research is a better focus than 4th Wall.

The Baseball diamond is just a very large diamond.  While you could research things to do with a very large diamond it'd probably be mostly a time sink.  Also it'd be a special action.

If anything, we could ditch the Glenda-Maya option. It only brings in about 50-300 Money, so it's not really needed, while the Dance party will help Morale, possinly help our Stress(stupid action can cause tons of stress, and probly tons of Morale loss, better safe then sorry) and could be humorous :3

They can always gain levels, but I don't really have anything plnned so there probably wouldn't be massive increases.

Yuki was disturbed at how comfortable the "briefing chair" was becoming.  It was a bad sign.

Mai pointed out a place on the map of Makai.  "We've been getting reports that there's a band of pirates operating out of here.  These pirates are a little more bold then normal.  In addition they've been kidnapping some locals."

Yuki frowned.  "Pirates.  I don't like pirates."

Mai smiled.  "Well then Black Cat, you should enjoy busting them up!"

"I suppose you're right White Fox," Yuki replied with a grin.

Then she facepalmed.  MAI!  Her name is MAI!

Being underground was obviously getting to her.

The pirates fortress was very well situated.  There was no position that it could be approached from without drawing attention.

Of course that didn't matter because the lookouts were all sloshed.

Yuki looked over the inner courtyard and smiled.  The outer fortifications were strong.  But inside would be easy pickings.  The crew was spread out all over, none of them on the airship, and the prisoners were all nicely locked up in pens on the left side.

Mai nodded beside her.  Alright, I'll go free the prisoners while you take out the guards and cause a panic.  Then we'll meet up and take down the captain."

Suddenly one there was a light as someone flew up to the guardpost where they were sitting.  Yuki blinked in surprise, as did the pirate.  Mai was in motion, but she was just a bit too slow.

"NINJAS!" the man yelled on seeing their masks.  Mai knocked him out, but the whole camp exploded into chaos.

"Free the prisoners," Yuki shouted, as she jumped down and started layering the place with flames.  A good number of building caught fire, adding extra confusion to the place.

She knew she sould really wait for Mai, but she had something to do here.  She kncoked down a few random roaming pirates then made her way to the captains cabin.

The captain didn't disapoint.  He was a huge man, with an eyepatch, a parrot and a buchy beard.  "Pah, you taint no ninja!  Ye're a superhero says I!  I'll have you swimming with the barracuda before dawn!"

"Really?"  Yuki summoned a bolt of fire and tossed it at the man, who shot the blast with his pistol.

The two fought hand to hand for half a minute before Yuki was able to dodge away and toss the two poisoned shuriken into the man's chest.  As the man died she said calmly, "You pirates are so silly.  Ninja don't exist."

The job done she headed out to find Mai there.  "Sorry.  He wasn't much of a fight though."

Mai blinked then shrugged.  "Okay.  I freed the prisoners so now it's just cleanup.  Let's make sure Yumeiko doesn't have too much work."

"Sure thing," Yuki replied.

Special Actions - Maximum 7 - Limit one per devil/magician
Stress Relief - Helepolis.  Removes d10+15 stress.
Grind levels - Ruby.  Helps (slowly but safely) level Ruby and gets random drops.
Dance Party - Requires Dancer, Bartender.  Devils do not become bored at the end of the week.   

Morale may be gained, and stress may be gained or lost depending on RNG.  This party costs d4 *

4d10 in cash.  Butler can decrease the multiplier.
Forge Tool - Ferra.  Once per devil spend $1000 and 5 gems to gain a level.
Support - Elspeth.  By using her action one special action automatically succeeds.
Fight Crime - Mai.  This weeks event is canceled and reduces notoriety.  Mai and Yuki may be injured.

if we could only barely deal with those two all but ascended guys with the army behind us, if we get them again and we try to fight crime, isn't it very likely to turn heavily against us?

Good point.

I think we should stray from fighting crime this week for a little variety though.  Also, build the waiting room and research the 4th Wall.

Plus, I think we should get Ferra to forge something for Elle.

Apparently, Thomas the Tank Engine isn't one to take crap from anyone.
