Dig - 30 mana - Decreases building costs by 10 wood and iron.  Usable once per structure.
Create Foundation - 100 mana - Increase building discount by 5%
Enhance Devil - 50 mana - Doubles Devils effectiveness at the cost of a week of exhaustion.
Devil Trigger - 200 mana - Doubles Devils effectiveness
Demonic Summoning - 50 mana - +1 special action.  Activated devils can act again.
Empower Gem - 1 gem 100 mana - Gives you 50 mana to use later.
Money Tree - 1 gem, 5 mana - Ads 5 income
Planar Portal - 10 gems 50 mana or 15 gems 100 mana - Creates a portal to a location inside/outside of Makai.

Special Actions - Maximum 7 - Limit one per devil/magician
Stress Relief - Helepolis.  Removes d10+5 stress.
Grind levels - Ruby.  Helps (slowly but safely) level Ruby and gets random drops.
Dance Party - Requires Dancer, Bartender.  Devils do not become bored at the end of the week.   Morale may be gained, and stress may be gained or lost depending on RNG.  This party costs d4 * 4d10 in cash.  Butler can decrease the multiplier.
Fight Crime - Mai.  This weeks event is canceled and reduces notoriety.  Mai and Yuki may be injured.

Cast Call Rain, Dig, and Empower Gem (so we can build the Hot Spring next turn). That covers all 150 mana, in case anyone was wondering.

Research Neverrust, if there's any leftover use for Control Weather.

Personally, I'd say to build the Bigger Library this turn, but I'm fine with building whatever.

I think we currently cap at 150 unless something specifically puts us over that. I think we were going to do this before we got the Casting Chamber so we could name a Devil and cast something else.

[Iced Fairy]: Yep.  You cap at 150, so you'll need to empower gems for those 200+ mana spells.

You need to change farmhand's name in the build structures area.

Um, I notice that we've been collecting notoriety like a black hole recently.  Should we do something about that, or is a high notoriety good?  I really don't want the goddess of Makai shutting us down for getting too powerful.

High notoriety increases the price to buy and sell things, the strength of events, and your base income.  It's a little more bad then good.

However you need not worry about Shinki coming to shut you down.  She knows you're harmless (so long as you stay harmless).

Edit: Dig is cast when you build something, and it would do nothing for the summoning of the Hot Spring anyway.

You built a bigger library.

Research Phase

Yuki: "That's actually really easy.  I should teach the devils this.  That should help keep maintenence down.  And if Ferra ever starts making tools we'll get more cash off of them."

Control Weather - 120

Yuki: "Feh.  Water spells again.  Oh well I'm halfway done."

Yuki: "First, let's get some rain!"

Heather: "I can get crops again!"

Cassia: "And I can make a killing off of them."

The rain revives your crops.  You now have a surplus off food again.  Heather's income will be doubled for the remainder of the drought.

Yuki: "Now some digging."

Yuki: "And then a power gem."

Eskarina: "Impressive.  So much energy in such a small space."

Special Actions
1: Alouette - inspect the house

Alouette: "I expect to be able to bounce a quarter off the matresses!"

Yuki looked at the list.  She couldn't make heads or tails of it.

Mai however apparently was a little more knowledgable about the human world.  "I see.  All from the library of Alexandria."

Sara nodded.  "Exactly White Fox.  So we've gotten a little worried.  We think their hidout is somewhere around here.  It would be a great weight off our chests if you took a look at it."

Yuki sighed.  "I suppose we should."

For some reason Sara chose that moment to turn around, so Yuki left before she could be recognized.  As she darted through the shadows she noticed Mai beside her.  "Good work on the dissapearing act." Mai said.

"I WANT to dissapear," muttered Yuki.

The site of course was crawling with goons.  Most of them in uniforms that Yuki almost found familiar.

"Are those nazis?" Yuki asked incredulously.

Mai nodded.  "Yep, old chum."

Yuki blinked at the odd term then asked the more important question.  "How are you sure?"

"Because Ruby's right there." Mai pointed.

Yuki looked.  Sure enough Ruby was hiding behind a nearby rock.

Figuring they should figure out why she was there Yuki moved to the cover.

Ruby of course went on guard before they reached her.  "Who's, oh Miss Yuki!  Miss Mai!  What are you doing here?  And what's with those sexy outfits!?"

Mai waved her hand.  "We're not Yuki and Mai.  You don't know us.  But you know we're helpful."

Ruby blinked.  "Oh.  You're not Yuki and Mai.  You just look like them.  Still you seem trustworthy."

Mai smiled.  "Indeed citizen.  So what's going on here."

Ruby pointed at the central area.  "Well they're Nazi's, but they're being led by a cyborg clone of Rasputin who's trying to destroy history and rewrite the world in his image.  They've collected a lot of library tomes in order to do that, so I'm hoping to stop them and steal the tomes for my masters."

Yuki wasn't thrilled with their odds, but the rewards sounded pretty nice.  And she kinda liked history as is.  "You have a plan?"

Yuki groaned as she woke up.  Staring down at her were Mai and Elspeth.  "Good, you're awake, Miss Yuki" Elspeth said with a sigh of relief.

Yuki tried to sit up, then the pain kicked in.  "Urgh, fuck.  What happened."

Mai looked apologetic.  "We were doing well until you set that Rasputin guy on fire.  Apparently he can reflect fire spells.  We took him out and got the goods, but you got hurt in the process.  Sorry."

Yuki groaned again.  "So why am I here and not being treated by Marie!?"

Elspeth bowed.  "We have to get you out of your uniform first.  After that we'll claim a lab accident caused by my incompetence injured you.  That should keep anyone from knowing."

Yuki sighed, then winced as the pain returned.  "Fine.  Just knock me out.  I don't want to feel the stairway up."

Mai winced.  "Sorry.  Don't worry.  I'll take care of you while you're down."

As Elspeth started a sleeping spell Yuki shook her head.  "I'm not too angry.  We still got the books."

Okay srs post.

We nabbed the 200 Mana so we could cast the hot spring spell, right? Might as well do that.

Right now the two other structures that look both appealing and quickly buildable are the lab and the artificer's forge. Which one do we want to do first? I myself lean toward the forge, though it's hard to say for sure before we get an answer to...

IcedFairy: What exactly do tools do? I imagine it's largely a function of what they are, but if you could provide general ideas, that would be lovely. If you want a specific example, what would a hammer do?

Tools in general are things you sell.

Specific magical tools that Ferra can forge are likely to raise the level of the devils that use them.

(As for where the flavor comes from, that was a combination of Batman (Normal and Adam West flavored), Hellboy, Raiders of the Lost Ark and Raidou Kunzou vs the Souless Army.  Mixed with a dash of san loss)

Razorvine probably lets you grow the plant of the same name, allowing for the prettiest razorwire fence you've ever put eyes on.
The Mastery Spells and Break 4th Wall are take and see, though you can get hints to the first from the story that spawned the whole thing and hints to the second in the first post.

$100-$1000 to insta-gain a level? I say it's worth it, the range isn't that huge, and we rarely spend, and whenever we do, we almost always get a nice benefit. This falls under "nice benefit" to me.

Agreed with both of these.

Also, the hot spring is an obvious build this week.

Get Cassia to find a way to make more money or something.
