So I've been playing a lot of old FPSes lately, mostly Doom. Beat the first two games, trying out a few mods like
Requiem
and
Alien Vendetta
.
Want to recommend a mod yourself or need suggestions? Want help/tips? Trying modding yourself? This is the thread, I guess.

I've modded Doom quite a few times myself. My preferred .wad manager was SLumpEd and I only recently switched to Doom Builder 2 from the original.
I have many memories making levels, although I never really got farther then that. Me and my Skype friends play Skulltag on occasion.

I try to replay it every little while, I just can't get into it. While I can acknowledge it's very technically impressive for its era, the level designs are hard to navigate, repetitive, and to be quite honest, a bit tedious.

Well, I was browsing through some weapon mods, and I found Beautiful Doom ver.5 - which enhances gibs, effects and weapons. I still hate this mod's Lost Soul though. They look odd.

The Crafty Titan's Doom mod is quite hard, and really fun as well. Except stupid multiplying Yukkureimus.
