>Dash backwards, then shift up and to the side
>Attempt to shoot a similar burst as the last one with one hand, but then stop short before the full energy is expended and then quickly follow it with a burst from the other hand, leading ahead of the direction where we expect her to dodge. Effectively, try to feint her into the second stream.

>You move back, then up and to the side, avoiding the formation coming toward you.
>You then fire a burst at her, followed by another. She dodges the first one, and the second one clips her on the arm with one on its shots. It doesn't seem she is too mobile when she's giving her all into firing all these shots.
>In the meantime, your opponent continues to fill the air with wedges of red bullets. One is coming for you, while others below and to your left.

>Let this be a lesson that even if we can fly, the roads exist for a reason. USE THEM.

>It seems this is so. You wonder if it ties to the bridge underground? Not for long, though, you're rather occupied.

>This too would make sense, but maybe it isn't so wise to be worrying about it when you're being shot at.

>Yes.
>You drop down, and fire a barrage. Your opponent tries to move out of the way, but concentrating as hard as she was on firing at you, she isn't able to move very quickly, and several of the shot connect with her.
>"Fine!" she shouts, as she draws away, "Do whatever you what!"

>You drop down into the forest, and land where the road is.
>To be honest, it really is quite attractive. The leaves are already starting to turn colors a little, and the trees aren't too thick like in some of the other forests you visited earlier today. A nice breeze runs through them, as well, sending a nice rustle through the trees. The road runs through it. Obvious exits are east and west.

>"She usually doesn't care," says the woman. "Just it's that time of year right before the leaves turn, and she gets restless. There's a lot of stress for her. Just she didn't recognize you, and...well..." She turns her hands upward. "She won't hold a grudge."

>Continue along the road

>"You as well, Maribel," she says.
>You continue along the road. The forest grows darker and heavier, taking on an atmosphere similar to that of the forest of magic. It is very quiet here, giving you a sense that the world is holding its breath. Even without your border awareness, you can tell that you've moved into an entirely different place than you were before. Even the air feels a bit colder. The road continues on.  Obvious exits are east and west.

>Continue east
>Keep an eye and ear out for anything of interest

>You continue east, keeping your eyes open. Soon, you see motion up ahead, a woman in a red dress twirling and dancing along the path, into and out of the foliage. You quickly recognize her as the polite ribbon-wearing girl you met in the Forest of Magic earlier today. It's rather impressive she can dance like that without tripping over the brush or smacking her arm on an errant tree.
>She pirouettes toward you. "Hello!" she calls, not ceasing her dance. "Are you sure you should be going this way?"
