Me and a friend have been trying to get netplay on PoFV for a while now. No matter who hosts, the host always gets "Port x is on hold" after they put in a port number. I wasn't sure if this meant the port was closed or reserved for PoFV, but when the client tries to connect it always says "Application failed to play. Failed to communicate" and their window closes. We've tried using Hamachi IPs, too, but I don't think that helps when it comes to the port problem. We even tried the built-in wireless mode and it didn't work either.
I've allowed PoFV through Windows Firewall (I have 7) and Comodo Firewall, and I've even disabled them both, and it still doesn't work. I also tried opening/forwarding the port in my Linksys router and it still doesn't work. A little while ago I tried to get netplay for ZSNES working on my desktop with port forwarding and it still didn't work, and it's directly connected to my router.
I'm sorry if this question has been asked a lot... I've looked through all the topics about this and none of them seemed to help. =\
