I don't see how
Spoiler:
Okuu, Youmu, Nue, Patchouli, Sanae, or Alice
were really relevant either. :V

Spoiler:
Those guys were being possessed by the mushrooms.
Except Alice. I guess she was mad at Marisa for some reason.

Actually, I meant as a FINAL boss. Not a regular boss. It'd just be weird for Yukari to get involved with a plot about mushrooms.

How do I apply the v1.01 patch? Just move the 6kinoko_c.dat file into the NSML folder?
Too lazy for a proper sig.

Spoiler:
UFO-4
?

Spoiler:
Near the end of UFO-2, you'll see three ufos in a column. Hop on them as soon as possible and ride them up and to the right and you'll find a secret area. Go through this area until you get past the part with the breakable blocks and then fall down.

How do I apply the v1.01 patch? Just move the 6kinoko_c.dat file into the NSML folder?

yeah, that's all you need to do.

Where is the 6th Red Star in
Spoiler:
Youkai-5
?
Spoiler:
Also, is there a secret exit in Youkai-2? I got all the stars there, but I see a platform with a P-Crystal all the way to the right of the stage. I can't get to it, because I suck using the Reisen suit effectivly.
Too lazy for a proper sig.

It's the Bamboo Forest of the Lost, so that was a given. You have to go through a different path to get to the right balloon (it's a blue one instead of a red one). Try the level again and try a different path.

v1.02 patch is up on Tasofro's site. Haven't experimented to see what (if anything) has changed yet.

A quick test shows that this is most likely another set of tiny bug fixes that were likely exploited at some points. Such as Tiny Marisa's dead pixel was finally fixed. And now the music will stop playing when you pause the game. I know there were more odd bugs, so chances are those might of been fixed too. So unless someone is going to spend some time digging, I don't see any extra stages in this patch.

A translation of the read me would be most appriciated.

If they patched this I'm going to be sad.

WHY ARE THERE NO CHECKPOINTS IN THE FUCKING GAME

I just used 52 fucking lives on the last 2 stages in UFOland. Fuck it.

WHY ARE THERE NO CHECKPOINTS IN THE FUCKING GAME
Because none of the stages are really all that long or hard (Please keep in mind I play Super Marisa World so my idea of length and difficulty may be skewed)

Also on the subject of the Tenshi glitch: Looks like it might be, based on a quick Googleese translation

There might be some extra content judging by the size of the "6kinoko_c.dat" file as it is now twice as big.

EDIT: And 3 secret exits that he missed during the playthrough.

Ok gang!

Tasofro has released 1.03 patch for New Super Marisa Land. So go to Tasofro.net and grab it.

I'll be testing it out to see if it has unlocked anything.... I hope....

The looks of it suggest it's another set of bug fixes overall

I really hope they make the Hakurei Shrine playable. The fact that it's just randomly there bothers me.

According to Google Manglate and assuming the readme file in the patch lists fixes, looks like this patch fixed... lava swimming?

Yes, there was a strange bug found in some of the stages (especially the one where you could get the arm cannon) where you can jump into the magma with the arm cannon and completely unharmed! And swim through the lava to the otherside. Now that's what you call a game breaking bug!

Why even bother releasing patches for these things?  People can simply not download the patch if they like the glitch. :V

Then we'll just make the next patch have that patched AND the extra stages as well, obviously.

Let's see them refuse THAT offer! :3c

That was actually kind of my point; add extra content with it, and people will patch it.  But if it's just some random patch with the only thing it changes being "no more swimming in the fire" as an install-at-will option, there's no reason to do it until it becomes necessary for future patches that do add content.

and more Power-ups if is necesary, adding extra content should make it more interesting, but adding extra stuff to something that is previously made, it's like eat dinner twice a day
