If anyone can remember when the Western community became aware of great games like Tales of Rebirth, then that's probably the most accurate time when the whinging started. Tales of Destiny 2 (the one with Kyle) was terribad, and those who said it's good are either crazy or have only WATCHED it in action, the person playing it is having less fun than them.

I honestly couldn't give a rat's ass about the Tales fandom anyway. I'm perfectly fine with importing.

Anyone with the ability to play the games in not-English is probably not really part of the Western Tales community, so to speak! :O

That said, I've been -this- close to importing Vesperia PS3, but I'm holding off until Namco buries the series.

Probably?

The Tales series, in fact, has a Chinese cult following. There have been Chinese guidebooks written for some of the Japan-only Tales games.

Korea gets some Tales games too, but the only one I can recall that actually got dubbed and translated was Destiny 2. The Korean version of Destiny remake is literally a JP version with a Korean manual and box :V

I beg to differ. It's one of the Tales games we enjoy the most.

Kidding aside, enjoying a game doesn't necessarily make the game good. Sure, you enjoyed it a lot, that doesn't save it from sucking ass.

... Anyone heard of Keroro Gunso? The Tales team made a Keroro RPG for DS featuring ToDR type of LIMBS and the same Tales characters' Seiyuus.

I already finished it, it's pretty interesting. Didn't like the battle system THAT much though because lol ToDr

Uh, well, let's say one of the things I enjoy about Tales is that it's ~~incredibly~~ kind of ~~homotastic~~ slashable (For the record yes I accept how non-canon that is; I still enjoy the alternate interpretations of things though).

Also I've done the same by fusing names with "Genis Irving" on another corner of the web, but, uh... well, the reason for that name fusion is more related to my former statement.

That's because the cast of Keroro shares seiyuu with Tales characters.

For example, Giroro is also Geyorkias.

Yeah, definitely. I mean, there's StahnXLeon, AschXGuy, FlynnXRaven, MosesXJay, SaleXToma, among others.
We enjoy Tales that same way then, among other ways |D

I once planned on using Senel fon Fabre or Luke Coolidge, but I ended up not being able to play Senel, one reason being there's no multiplayer, so...

Watch the Wii ToG trailer, then watch the PS3 trailer. The Wii version looks washed out and the models look more jaggy, just like in the screenshot. They're definitely sharpening the game's graphics for its rerelease.

Yeah. The eyes seem to be a good example of this in particular.

You basically just described the difference between a lower res version via analog signal and a higher resolution via a digital signal. I'd expect some texture reworking, though. Also, since they combined the images together the Wii version has probably been upscaled so the image quality would be even lower.

Now I'm interested in a screenshot comparison of Graces between the PS3 version at 480p (preferably unscaled, assuming the PS3 has that option) and the PS3 version at 720p or higher. Preferably with both using component cables.

The last game that did this ended up being pretty bad

I didn't really enjoy ToDr much either, I wonder what that means...
