Oh! Oh!
*explodes in excitement*
First off,
Tales of Touhou! >w<
... You know how this works,
though probably not the way of programming or something yet.
Sukima Whack! [Idea Start: 1:47 AM 8/8/09]
Yukari's Sukima (gap) is being used as holes for a "Whack-a-mole!" type of game!
I'm thinking, if the player's character is selectable, there will be personalized hammers and whack-a-mole things.
EX: If I use Marisa, she'll have her octagon-shaped hammer for whacking mushrooms or other things... or even heads of people she hates and loves? (or in short, people she's related to or affiliated with)
Scoring System:-Hitting a loved one will reduce your life (or something of a penalty).
-Hitting a hated one (or a thing or person she just loves picking on) will score her points.
... Though now that I think about it, with the variability of pairings etc., it could have some "bond" type of feature.
Recently added "Bond" feature [12:42 PM 7/22/10]:
-Characters/items have a pre-set/default level of bond.
-Character bond between
-...For complexity, if you whack/avoid-whack a character very close to another character, that another character has a chance to hate/love the character you have chosen, too.
... For a small whack-a-mole game, I think I made it too complex...
Maybe a simple "Choose a Character" and progress through levels would suffice. After completing most stages, a customizeable "Choose 5-10 ChaWHACKters" will be available, plus surprises.
Three-Fairy Collection of IncidentsIdea Motivation: [2:00 AM 8/8/09] read Strange and Bright Nature Deity Vol1 Extra, specifically page 137. Also listening to SaBND tracks.
Genre: Collection of "connected" mini games (could say it's like some Gensokyo themepark).
If I'd have mini/small games to make, this would be the perfect game to place it in.
The three fairies have made several changes in areas of Gensokyo. What could it be? Natural things, I suppose, like: shuffling trees, plants, flowers, animals(?), and lowly fairies among areas. Maybe messing up with the weather, too.
... Uhh, not much of a big incident? With all that nature-shuffling, I don't think so now.
... Being bold to cause such an incident, huh... because of drinking... Not very far from reality, eh? xD
EDIT: GASP!
The Great Fairy Wars!? I... I.........
Minigames inside:Fairy Shuffle [2:27 AM 8/8/09]
>Color-matching game. Fairies of "different colors" are shuffled. You must "hit the correct fairy" depending on the "environment" (rainy? sunny? cloudy? Seasons included).
>Some Fairies with specific "Danmaku pattern" doesn't match the environment! Find them!
-Shoot the Bullet type of danmaku game, minus the danmaku photo capture. You'll evade the fairies' bullets and catch/shoot the destructive fairy.
... That's what I thought of for this so far.
Catch the Ghosts!!Idea Motivation: [8:05 PM 8/23/09] SaBND Chp2, Three Fairies catch ghosts in summer and use it as air cooler. They caught one by the use of a wooden stupa(?).
Reimu and Marisa has used it as air cooler as well, put it in an aquarium with talismans all over.
Youmu pleads not to make toys out of ghosts.
Genre: Hide-and-Catch Action game
Story: Could be that there are many ghosts today in the Netherworld. Until reports echo around that some ghosts began disappearing. The cause of disappearing is <thief character>.
Not necessarily happening in the Summer, but I'm thinking of other reasons why they should get ghosts for besides it cooling the air around them.
... In the end, it might happen in Summer after all.
... How about the festival?
Details: <Thief character/s> try to catch ghosts by the use of "stupa" or something to contain or lure ghosts.
Different skills to lure ghosts can be used, such as telling ghost stories, "making mushrooms in the corner", staring at the mirror/photo... perhaps singing a scary or ghost song. (Thriller? That's not even about ghosts, but anyway...)
Watch out! Youmu is on the lookout for ghosts theft. Yuyuko will propose to join the thief hunt later, and perhaps Yukari, too, for Extra/Phantasm stage? xD
... I think this will deal a lot of time in the ghosts, Youmu, Yuyuko, and Yukari's AI.
Marisa SwordsmanshipIdea Motivation: [9:56 AM 8/20/09] YoumuXMarisa doujin [Hole of Yago] Marisa vs Youmu, where Marisa wants to learn to wield two-swords. Also a listening to [ALiCE'S EMOTiON] Crazy Full Moon.
Genre: Follow-me Rhythm Game (like Guitar Lessons in Rhythm Tengoku Gold/Heaven)
Details:Marisa wants to learn two-sword fighting from Youmu. It's not actually a dance they're making -- rather swords training.
Marisa must follow Youmu's steps in two-sword fighting in order to learn them, or at least imitate what Youmu is doing. During tutorial/daily training, Marisa does a correct move/step Youmu has done when the player hits the correct button at the right rhythm. (I'm thinking mouse strokes instead for variability)
Every miss or early/late push of the corresponding button to the rhythm will make Youmu mad at Marisa and raise her Urge-to-Slice gauge. Impress Youmu!
Touhou RacingBefore I heard of Cirno Racing, I have thought of a Touhou Racing already, minus the carts.
First thought of the racing theme to be Wriggle's theme, similar to how Cirno Racing PV music is played.
This racing will be kind of similar to how you race in Jikkyou Oshaberi Parodius' Grand Prix mode. It could be co-op or VS.
Persona OR Shin Megami Tensei - Touhou versionIdea: Nobu's Avvie & Siggie made me.
Signing my approval to >w<:
-or a Touhou Kirby game, which has recently entered my ideatrain
Ace Combat Touhou...that is all.
I want an elaborate RPG with ALL OF THE CHARACTERS
On another note, an average Touhou shmup that has co-op. Maybe something similar to Shikigami no Shiro or Ikaruga would do the trick.
And people who've mentioned Suikoden Touhou.
difficult!=fun
because it's touhou doesn't mean that it has to be extremely hard
On difficult games, victory means a whole lot though, just like how difficult to make a goal in soccer and how great one goal means.
Maybe set a difficulty similar to Touhou or something, though there's a point making a game difficult by default.
I'll nod with RKS Blitzer's fix, but to achieve uber great graphics while at full 60 (or greater?) frames per second you'll definitely go for a high-spec console. That's coming from one who doesn't have PS3.
... but what the heck, *opinions*
