>OK, the parser gets it, show her the Symbol. You don't need to repeat yourself, it heard you the first time.

>"Ah! That's..."
Mitori takes a moment to examine the crest. She prods at it, feeling the genuine gold that it's constructed of. She looks at you, then the crest, then back to you.
"Then...you're my..."
She gulps. For a few seconds, silence.
"...Okay, this is probably the most ridiculous thing I've ever done in my life, but I'll trust you. I don't recognise you, but if all your talk of time travel is true than that's to be expected."
You offer her K's knife and she pulls down a sleeve on her dress. Her hand wavers, and it takes a lot of effort on her part, but she makes a small cut along her arm and allows the knife to soak in some of the blood.
"Ow...alright, hopefully that should be enough. What now...?"

>Do so.
>"Then, I give you a hug, tell you time travel is a bitch, and we jump forward a few years to make you queen."
>Proceed, barring any good reason not to.
>You enact the scene as accurately as you can; setting up K's body with the knife, leaving the double uncovered for all to see, and picking up the fallen ammunition. You scrap it, given that it no longer has any particular use.
>There's something endearing as you hug Mitori. It's a weird feeling, considering you only learned she existed an hour ago, but it's comforting. She is a little uncomfortable to start with, eventually she eases into it and hugs you back.

>During hug, whisper, "You owe me big."
>"Thank you. If you weren't already a member of royalty, I'd have you knighted for this."
You feel slightly ill. Lady Kawashiro just sounds so wrong to you.

> "Well then!  Here's hoping I still get born later on."
> Go back to our time if the scene is all set up.
>Still wrapping your arms around Mitori, you hit the switch on the belt. The two of you are engulfed in a familiar flash...
and before you know it you're back in Kuromizu, having swapped your fake princess for a real one.
"...Incredible. You actually figured out how to travel through time..."
Mitori pauses for a moment in sheer wonder, before her grip around your waist tightens.
"Oh, Nitori, you're such a genius!"
You feel the faint urge to pass out as Mitori continues her bear hug, until a nervous cough in the background breaks the silence. She lets go just before you start to suffocate.
"Pardon the intrusion on this lovely scene, but who exactly is this?"
Janna is eyeing up Mitori in confusion.

>"Okay, this is the short version. You're about...what, two decades into the future. You were supposed to have died back there. Then I came along, and they tried to foist the whole dynasty on me, and I'm not having that. Mind you, I'd be the best damn queen they ever had, but it's not for me."
>Pause.
>"This is a whole lot to dump on you, I know. But really, you were supposed to have died back there. That's why I left that fake body, bloodied up the knife, and all that. To keep things like they were supposed to be. Otherwise...well, I might not have been born, for starters."
>"Anyways, you kinda understand where I'm coming from, right? I don't blame you if you don't want to buy some of it..."

>Janna doesn't respond, simply staring at Mitori. And staring. And staring.
Sanna waves a hand in front of her face. No response.
"Wow. I think you broke her."
>Nicknaming the queen of Kuromizu 'Meaty' is unlikely to bode well. Then again, since you're still a member of the royal family you're hardly going to get arrested for it...
>"You're right, this IS a lot to tell me. But I suppose after all of that I'm not really in any state to disagree with you, am I?"
Mitori looks a little disoriented as she comes to a realisation.
"Oh, no, that means that Father must have been waiting for me all this time! He knows about all of this, right? I wouldn't want him to spend years thinking that I had...you know."

>How did Dad die anyways?
>Technically, he died of illness brought around by old age, but it was no secret among the servants that he'd been a different man since Mitori's 'death'. You had been his one pillar of strength, and when you disappeared his body just saw no reason to keep on going.

> Think of the possibility that everything we did, a future we did it too thus giving us our situation, making so that we have to do it the same way and giving the past us the same situation where she has to do everything we did to solve the problem, thus giving the same situation to her past self.....uhgggg, time travels confusing.

> "...Ah. You mean he...and he didn't know...and I never got to say goodbye...?"
Mitori is unsurprisingly shaken by this, and is more than willing to let you hug her for comfort. You hear sniffles in her breath, but she manages to hold back the urge to wail as tears slip down her face.
"I-I'm sorry...I should have been ready for this, I know, but still. It's so sudden, and...he was telling me to get ready for it all this time, and it still catches me off guard. We can't...use that belt of yours again, can we? Just so he doesn't pass on thinking that I've been murdered..."
It's an unnecessary detour that risks screwing up the timeline, but it looks like it'd help her come to terms if you go through with it.

>She sniffles a little. "Alright. I would really appreciate it. ...And you probably shouldn't call me Meaty, at least not in public."
Janna is still standing frozen in place. Sanna is making the most of the occasion by prodding her in various areas of the face.

>"Y-Yes. Let's go."

After pulling Janna out of stasis at last, you guide Mitori back to the palace. Hiro is waiting for you at the entrance, and his eyes turn first to you, flooded with concern.
Then they catch Mitori, and they're watering almost instantly.
"Oh, Mitori...!"
Considering his age, he's incredibly spry as he runs out from the palace entrance and embraces Mitori in a hug. He's crying tears of joy, prompting a slight giggle from Sanna.
"Ah...Hiro-kun...I...I can't breathe..."
From that warning, Hiro suddenly realises what he's doing and pulls back.
"Ah, forgive me, forgive me, it's just that it's been so long and we thought you'd been dead all this time and...oh, it's just so good to see you again."
Mitori smiles at the old man. You understand what they meant about that smile - you feel a little warm just looking at it.
"Hey, you're back! And you brought your sister too!"
Kai emerges from inside the palace as well, currently fiddling with what used to be a microscope. You have no idea what she's doing to it now, and frankly you aren't sure if you want to know.
"So, how'd it go? Any giant rifts in the timestream we need to worry about?"

>"Oh, thank you. I...I don't know what to say. I didn't honestly believe you when you said you could bring her back, but...."
>Hiro is struggling with his emotions, barely able to speak. He looks overjoyed.

>"Because I'm a genius."

>"Ain't that right, Hiro? So what's next?"
>You perform a dance that most would consider below royalty. Not that you care.
"C-Certainly. Now that I have proof of your ability, I...I can't disagree with you. You've prevented a murder and saved the heir to the Kawashiro throne, and for that I'm truly thankful.
It's a shame, though, that the forces who ordered the murder haven't been caught...they covered their tracks exceedingly well by frightening Haiji into suicide. Where else can we look for clues?"

> Stable timelines mean everything is still exactly the same as you left it. Fortunately the Timey Wimey Ball isn't that Timey Wimey.
"Ah, me? Well, Councillor Haiji was acting a little strange around me. He'd ask me every so often if I regretted what my father had done. I had no idea what he was talking about, so I just smiled and walked away, but he seemed really concerned about it..."

> Explain the possibility of Mitori never having be murdered in the first place and that a past version of yourself saved her too. And the past version of her and the past version of he......tell him this might possibly be a time loop.
> "Ah, I think I'll do without the explanation. I was never a physicist, sorry. All that matters is that Mitori's alive now, right?"

>"Personally? I think they'll probably do something when Meaty manifests out of nowhere."
>"Hey, Hiro, when you got some time, I need to asking you something private...about things."
>"Is it a good idea to leave it that late? If they find out about her again they'll certainly attempt something much more open, but at the same time it puts Mitori in that much more danger.
Oh, me? Well, if you want, we could go aside and have a chat together...I'm sure your human friend can help keep the princess company."
Mitori is curiously watching Kai tweak with the microscope, offering the occasional suggestion. They look like they'll be entertained by that thing for a while.
