>Well crap.
>"That was pretty skillful, K. I am seriously impressed."
"Thank you for the compliment, ma'am. I see you've already started to learn that a good compliment goes a long way. A pleasant surprise, though it'll just make it a shame when I have to cut you down."

> Is Mitori still in his range of attack?
> Inventory.
> Consider how we could use the boxes to our advantage.
> Currently, you're between him and Mitori, so he'll be reaching her over your dead body. This is much more viable than you would like to admit.

>Inventory:
Bits And Bobs
Optic Chrono
11,000 Yen
PDA
Notepad (w/pencil)
Vera (18 rounds)
Rocky The Shocker (Damaged)
Cucumber x 18
Royal Symbol
Wall-Mounted Camera
Pistol (Given to Kai)
Scuba Gear (Given to Kai)

>It looks like the boxes are made out of rather brittle wood. They would probably break into several tiny pieces if broken.

>Do you think the cut ammo is still cursed?
>Given that he's yet to trip over something and knock himself out, you'd have to say no.

>Recall K's motivation to kill Mitori.
>He was hired by councillor Haiji, who himself was working for an as yet unknown group.

>Consider bluffing as an allied associate testing his skills?
>'I won't fall for that, ma'am. Maybe you're still new here, but taking someone as an ally means at some point you'll turn your back on them. And that's a great place to put a knife, if you know what I mean."

>Fire at his legs, low enough he won't be able to easily slice the shot without going into an odd position. If he dodges.
>When he tries to move or counter, grab a big handful of bits and bobs, and fling 'em into his face. As he reacts to that, shoot again.
>He doesn't know your weapon, but he knows that getting hit by it is Not Good (TM). He jumps into the air to dodge your shot from Vera, and you thank your lucky stars that he can't change his trajectory in midair.
You reach for a handful of metal bolts and other nonsense, and fling it at K's face.
"Quite the cheapskate, aren't you-!"
K raises a hand to shield his face from the incoming makeshift bullets, losing sight of you for a moment. You pull out Vera again and let off a quick shot, catching him in the arm while he isn't looking. As he lands - with a painful-sounding crack of his knees - he doesn't seem aware that you've managed to catch him with the curse.
"Certainly new to this if that's what you call an attack. I'd give you some pointers if you weren't in my way."

>We get like one shot to do this right. We need him as cursed as possible, so he'll get blamed for a murder he didn't actually commit and the changes to time are minimal. Otherwise we're going to be messing with the timestream for ages and it'll never get fixed.
>We gotta unload the whole thing into him; and maybe steal Hina's panties later to get new ammo.

>He smiles at your confidence, if nothing else. "I've never seen a god try to kill anyone with metal bolts before, I suppose."

>No time for half-measures with this. Time is not something you want to screw with and then get wrong, so you need to make this count. You aim Vera straight at K, firing until you hear a satisying click.
K attempts to parry these shots like he did the earlier ones, but for some reason his slices are consistently off the mark. In fact, they grow moreso as time goes on, until with the last slash he manages to catch himself on the other arm. A few drops of blood make their way onto the knife.
"...I'm beginning to wonder if you have a death wish. Ribbons as bullets? I can't see how that would achieve anything at all."

>The music has ended not with a bang, but with a click.
>Danmaku in this small an area might be risky. Mainly because most of your attacks hit 360 degrees, and Mitori is still standing behind you. So...yeah.

>Smile.
>"You have no idea..."
>Wonder how extremely terrible his luck must be now.
>If this guy was standing outside right now, he'd be prime bait for a passing lightning bolt or meteorite. That's how bad his luck is right now.
K preps the knife again, almost dropping it out of a newfound clumsiness.
"My apologies for the, ahem, handicap, but I only saw it fit to give you one last fair fight."
You know he's talking out of his ass to save face. You can do whatever you want to him now.

>Koryuken!
>Your attack is hilariously easy to read, carries almost no force and will leave you a sitting duck to counterattack if you happen to miss. K is well aware of all these facts, and proceeds to sidestep it.
Or at least tries to, until his leg conveniently manages to catch on an almost invisible wire underneath him.
"?!"
Your fist connects with K's jaw, and as luck would just so happen to have it he's a glass jaw. He stands upright for a moment, eyes staring dazed into the distance, before falling to the floor and hitting his head against the edge of one of those wooden boxes. Man, with his luck, the blow probably gave him short-term memory-loss, and when he wakes up and finds a dead body he'll just assume he did his job.
You feel a strong urge to cry out for your father. Overdramatically.

"A-Ahh..."
Mitori lets out a little whine of awe as the fight comes to an end. She looks terrified - not just because of K wanting to kill her, but because you look so familiar...she can't place where, but...
"Um...thank you. But...what's going on, exactly? All I did was take a wrong turn, and..."

I swear I will explain later, and it will all make sense, and you'll be way happier for it. Okay?"

>"B-But...who are you?"
She still looks pretty nervous, stuttering on her words as her brain runs on overdrive. This whole incident seems to have shaken her - given the way you had been talking with K, it's very possible in her mind that you're another competing assassin who wants to kill her as well.

>Mitori raises an eyebrow at all of your statements. If anything, all you've managed to do so far is make her even more confused, and showing her the body double at this point in time hasn't helped with anything. If you could prove your royalty to her with some sort of evidence, that would probably convince her that you could be trusted.
