Apparently, Thomas the Tank Engine isn't one to take crap from anyone.

>You focus harder.
>You...still don't feel much of anything from it, other than it is there. You are starting to think this is not due to your lack of success, but rather because that is how this entity is. You think it might recognize you, though.

>If it felt a bit like Stargazer, if Stargazer wasn't feeling anything, could that mean it's partially 'asleep', somehow? Or do we think it's just because the create is really that simple?
 >If so, see if we can try waking it up

>You reach out toward it...
>You remember a shining light all around you. This is your work, and you are pleased. Ecstatic! Who could stop you now? It's so bright, so beautiful...
>You lose your focus. You are still in the quiet room in the Myouren Shrine. Out of the corner of you eye, you see Stargazer, kneeling on the floor, full of curiosity. Wait...she was asleep...

>It caws at you, and hops forward and flutterings onto your hand, clinging to your index finger. You feel no weight, just pressure from its feet.
>You can't help but grin, it's so rare you can get any crow to trust you this much! Even if it is kind of ghostly.

>It does not answer your questions in any way you can tell, instead it pecks at the seed and picks it up. It crunches the seed with its beak and swallows. Crunched-up sunflower seed falls on your hand. Still, you can tell it's pleased.
>Stargazer kneels down on all fours, her face inches from the spectral crow and marvels at it.

> Look around for Hijiri.
> Time.

>You are in a small quiet room. There is no sign of Hijiri.
>You check your cellphone. It is seven thirty. Huh...you spent half an hour in here. It only felt like five minutes or so.

>Try putting out hand through the crow, and reaching out mentally towards it like we did before. Remember the image of light that we saw.

>You try to place your hand through the crow. You...sort of succeed. It is solid at first, then your fingers sink through.
>Reachign out toward it mentally, you find you can sorta feel it. But it is nothing like Stargazer. You feel, if she had time, she could master actual language pretty easily. Her thoughts are complex enough for it. But this crow, you only get a sense of being from it, and a kind of nonspecific contentment. Its mind is too simple.
>You remember the light. What a strange thing...you feel proud of it...

>You do.
