So we all know what the girls of Touhou look like.
But what do they sound like?
Feel free to vomit up your opinion on who sounds like what!
I'll start us off. Be wary, as I go all over the place - English VAs from obscure-to-popular animes or shows, IOSYS songs, Japanese VAs... band singers.
IOSYS offers up a plethora of potential ways for the various Touhous to sound (if they can sing properly, which is a stretch in most of their cases), and in my honest opinion I think they hit the nail on the head for Eirin in
Eirin's Clinic. They also provide a good potential voice for Yukari in their
antique early song,
Border of Death.
Shou would be voiced by the English voice actress for Major Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell, or Princess Cornelia from Code Geass. That voice just screams ABSOLUTE JUSTICE.
The various faeries that we deal with on a regular basis - Daiyousei being the one who leaps to mind first for this example - would be represented pretty well by the English VA for the most notable Tachikoma in GitS... that being, the one that's always reading books! You can listen to her in
this clip. She's the third one who talks; 'A grenade would've been useless with it's low initial velocity'. The first two (if I'm not mistaken are voiced by the same actress) would be good for Cirno, though with a little less enthusiasm.
Satori. No two ways about it. (I don't think she randomly breaks out into song, though.)
One last thing - Rinnosuke wears a
Big Blue Dress and likes to sing about it.
