Regarding that, are we even sure if Mystia, Utsuho, Aya and Hatate are compatible with humans? Birds have cloacae, and they work kinda differently from mammalian and reptilian reproductive organs. Same goes for kappas and oarfishes, who's reproductive system is even MORE inhuman.

Also, since kappas are amphibian they are cold blooded. You'll need to keep Nitori nice and warm if you want to avoid her from getting hypothermia. Don't overdo it either, since she'll get overheated. She's going to need a lot of moist too.

The one major downside that immediately comes to mind to me is the question of mortality. With the exception of the humans (and it's not even sure how long their lifespans are compared to normal anyway), any Touhou you live with and/or fall in love with is going to outlive you. Also, you're going to go through that nasty aging process while they keep their relative youth and beauty. That might be good if you feel like being Hugh Hefner, but I could imagine it'd be depressing to the average person.

Well, if you got into Gensokyo to live with your girl, then you already got several chances to become a youkai (studying, via Remilia or via Yukari) or a Deity (via faith, if you can pull it through).

The options exist, but they're not guaranteed unless you manage to convince age-old beings why they should help out a random human theyy don't know. Magic is a possibility, but you may not have the aptitude nor the persistence to get to that point.

I'm overthinking this, hehe. If I had my choice I'd probably live with the Moriyas and help out with chores and the like, which would probably have the least downsides I'd imagine.)

Bot Yuyuko and Yukari are very interesting in their canon material, and even the fairies can be interesting. So I doubt there would be very much issue living with them, if they are friendly enough.

Thing is, all fanon I have read that involved Shingyoku described the male and female halves as Reimu's parents in some weird form. I don't know how some people think that, but thats what they have.

So basicly, you'd be picking Reimu's parents over Reimu herself.

Yuyuko. If you look ONLY at her powers, she can Kill people with ease, they can not resist, and once someone is Dead, she can control them. Why is this bad? Two words: Lovers Quarrel.
