Been reading through Sekirei. I'm surprised how not bad it is. The only things that really bother me is Musubi's unnatural looking basketball tits, and the fact that Minata literally doesn't do anything to make the girls like him, they just fall all over him just because he's there. But this is still a harem manga, so this doesn't really get me too riled up.

Yeah, I tried to give the anime a shot, literally because the concept was so absurdly stupid that I had to check it out. I stopped watching after the first few unnatural tit bounces. It seriously made me wonder if any of the animators had ever seen a pair of boobs in their lives.

I agree that the manga was weak too, actually. Musubi's super top heavy design alone was a huge warning sign. My expectations were non-existent, so I was still surprised that I could read it without wanting to punch my monitor. The characters are still pretty bad, especially since all of the girl's motivations can be summed up as "make the man I just met three minute ago happy", but it still managed to be inoffensive. Some of the stories concepts were mildly interesting too, though I'm not sure how the hell that Rinnosuke look-a-like managed to get the whole damn world in his pocket. Seriously, he couldn't be more obviously evil and insane if you gave him a top hat, a twirly mustache, and a monocle.

Okay so I started watching Hayate (I couldn't help it goddammit it looked so cute) and oh god it's so bad it's good. More than that, it's brilliant. And I love the art <3~ fuck Chobi- I MEAN I'll finish Chobits this week I promise

So I saw a bunch of stuff I hadn't before at a con over the weekend, and here's my opinion:

FMA Brotherhood: I liked the original FMA anime, and this is a) more faithful to the source material and b) seems to be pacing a lot better.
EVA 1.01: I haven't seen Evangelion at all in my life... I'm actually fairly satisfied.
Angel Beats!: I went in expecting some generic moe-anime, and got the closest thing to an anime version of TWEWY I can think of.
Black Rock Shooter: I'm not sure if it got better towards the end because the airing had to be cut short, but I didn't like it. The scenes with B*RS had no explanation whatsoever and just seemed to be tacked on to the main storyline.
Bakemonotagari: Why didn't I bother seeking this out on my own, SZS pretty much sold me on SHAFT before.

Nah, I know nothing about Mandarin. Personally I was comparing it to French and German, the other two languages I've studied before

Quality's getting gradually worse each episode, and there's less going on. At this rate, it'll be a season of 24 episodes, or a season of 12 with a bad ending.
