I like Turbines and SR weak legendaries (Plus it falls into the catagory of pokemon that look overly serious yet fluffy in the art) so it's Reshiram for me as well.

I actually think I like Zekrom more than Reshiram, so I may be getting White version. They both surprisingly look pretty to me, but that's just me.

I honestly got one just for the Pok?dex data, but I'm considering training one for real just because it's got a damn awesome movepool.

Lanturn's also become one of my favorites during my SoulSilver playthrough because of Volt Absorb. Try and shock me now, you yellow merchandising whore

Starly/Staravia/Staraptor is the best of the early-game birds by a longshot, stick with it (it's also going to be useful for the next couple gyms).

For the next few routes, I'd recommend picking up a Buizel and/or a Shinx.
