This seems like the best section to post this in.
I was thinking that a dedicated Touhou stream would be a great idea! The ultimate goal being having viewers on there at all times with something being streamed by somebody nearly all the time! There isn't much there yet, but if people like this idea, I will put major work into it!
Heres a link to a blog I made for the channel, which contains the link to the stream channel and a poll for what should be streamed.

last time someone made a dedicated touhou stream it wasn't exactly the greaaatest thing in the world

Main good things thing that came out of that channel were the marathons of Touhou Soccer videos and Touhou Mother. And looping Reincarnation!Alice over and over.

Well, the stream, while in auto pilot, has focused more on the different videos made by fans.
While streaming live, we have mostly (as in only) shown the Touhou games, both official and fangames. The last one, MegaMari, had live commentary.
I think we are a long way to go, especially in diversifying the content of the channel

I suppose what we mostly need is support and interest in order to justify this idea. I think it would be a pretty interesting project if pulled successfully, which apparently the last stream didn't exactly manage.

I remember that stream, it was pretty nice place to stop by. We wound up moving to a new stream channel due to some copyright claim (exactly what the claim was we don't know...). The new stream isn't 100% Touhou dedicated, but most of the crew's there. Not sure where I should post the link since livestreams aren't too related to the game, and advertising in someone else's thread about livestreams would be kinda rude.

About your stream though, keep on going with the idea, not live we should only have one! I wouldn't recommend worrying about getting verified right away. People can access your stream without it being verified as long as we have the link. Once you start getting plenty of regulars and a good stash of content going, then trying to verify might be a good idea. Right now it might be a better idea to see what the people have voted on so far and start building off of that.

It seems from the voting on the blog so far, official and doujin games are the most popular (they are tied) followed by live gameplay, replays, and commentary (I like the idea of commentary). Ideas that seem like nobody really likes are fanart and non-commentary. However due to some streamers limits, we will have to deal with non-commentary as well.
As for the auto pilot, the 40 video limit expired recently, so I am now adding more to it. The point of the auto-pilot is to entertain while no-one is streaming and is good to watch if you get there and someone will be streaming soon.
Like Raak said, what we need the most right now is support and exposure. (streamers wouldn't hurt either. We only got 3 atm)

I quite liked the old stream and would pop by a new one if it came about. It was quite nice to have a place to go and chat about Touhou whilst watching random vids, plus the stream introduced me to the awesomeness that was Kaiji.

The old stream was a great place where I met many of my good friends. Sadly the hosts ruined everything with their money-grubbing ways. :[ I don't think I'd be able to adjust to another place.

Here's the official call for channel streamers! Just post here saying you're interested. (It bumps the topic Ha ha, old chap!) You also need to pm me your: Livestream exact account name, some way for me to contact you (I prefer msn/Skype), Procaster downloaded, and have correct settings on it.

(I'm going to add a calendar to the blog so it can be more organised.)

I tried streaming Touhous at my friend's site, he said it looked pretty good. I'd be interested but I wouldn't be able to stream until I go home for summer vaycay on the 30th.

The mic is a plus, since you can add comments on the go and all. We are looking for streamers, so any help is appreciated. I just wish Procaster was more friendly with people with little resources like me. Guess my broadcasts will be full of interruptions.

Also, remember, tonight Mystical Chain. That will be epic =D

If these posts bother you, since they bump the topic. do tell and I'll stop. I'll probably stop either way if things don't change, since right now I'm the only one streaming (with few viewers to boot) and if that's how things will be, I rather create my own channel and have the keys to it.
Won't do it since I know DDR is simply out of town, but still. We need streamers and the ones we have are doing nothing.
