And if you count SWR you've also had Weather/Heaven.

I dunno about you, but I'd love some kind of EoSD-styled(Single player, two types) with some kind of water theme, as in Gensokyo is starting to get flooded with mystical purple water? :V
Stage 1 boss would be a fairy.
Stage 2 boss would be some tsukomogami/random underwater youkai.
Stage 3 boss would be a fish youkai, but wouldn't look like a mermaid.
Stage 4 boss would be a mermaid-like youkai.
Stage 5 boss would be a ghost/human spirit.
Stage 6 boss would be something like the ruler of underwater-youkai.
EX boss would bring back the Stage 6 boss as middle-boss, and the real boss would be one of her ancestors.

I doubt it'll be exactly like that, but it would be fun~

I had the same idea, but instead of a flood, it would have been the Misty Lake becoming salty, and strange youkai appearing from it.
Stage 1 would be just above the lake.
Stage 2 would be a strange new cave.
Stage 3 would be a beautiful coral garden or what.
Stage 4 would be the bottom of the sea.
Stage 5 would be an underwater city.
Stage 6 would be a palace, the boss is the Ruler of the city, who explains that this underwater place and the few islands above water is another Gensokyo like place, but on the ocean. They just learned about Gensokyo and they wanted some connections.
Ex would be above the ocean, around the islands, and the Ex-boss would be the Barrier Maiden of this sealed world. Enter brown-skinned loli.

I see a shrine gate, a cherry blossom tree, some ghosts, stairs leading to a Stargate and is that Byakuren scroll? There's also the Sun and Moon, possibly something to do with night and day.

Touhou Game Titles are known for having a lot of ~~junk we can't read~~ (Complex Kanji), but never Kana. So maybe that's not it.

I don't think it matters if it has the title or not. Look at the UFO's image on the collection of 'em all. It doesn't have either the "Touhou" kanji (Is it kanji? Sorry if it isn't) on it.

The ribbon in that girl's hair looks like Reimu's, but if that's a hairbun behind the tree, then it probably could be Yamame. Not all of the pictures have Reimu's hair shaded in, so...That would be cool if it was Yamame, though.

Anyway, for the text, I can definately recognize "Shanghai Alice" in the big text, but nothing else. For the little text, I can only read the hiragana. So...when romanized, it's like..."**na*i*shouse" or something. The kanji inbetween "na" and "i" looks like one of the kanji from--no wait, I think all games have that kanji. I don't know.

I'm still absolutely terrible at Japanese, though, so it's probably all wrong.

I'm starting to doubt that this is an actual release or something. There's no 東方 Kanji or anything. It really might just be a music release.

When is C78 again? I'm really confused about the Comiket schedule... I had thought it was Winter?

Oh, and Zun already said once that he's not bringing anymore PC-98 characters anymore. I'll dig up the quote in a bit.

Comikets are August and December. If it's not a game release, it's kind of weird. All of the main games since TH06 have been released between August 10-20.

Even on the big scan, I can't make out all the kanji clearly enough to read it though.

When I saw that ad, the first thing that came to mind was that ZUN is just going to sell copies of his old games--I can spot elements of PCB, IN, MoF, and UFO. I also find it peculiar that he hasn't announced a Comiket attendance date and table location on his website or blog yet. I know he's typically late with making such announcements, but it's getting really close to August now. Many other doujin circles that I follow have already announced theirs, some having done so a month or more ago. Is there anything on ZUN's Twitter?

And Zun did release DS just recently. I'm betting that he's probably releasing something either December or next year. It's just too early...

My drunken theory based on the comiket flyer is this:

It's a game based on dreams! The heroine is asleep, dreaming about past incidents they had to solve. Stages 1-3 are these past events (possibly being major characters watered down for the stage). Then things start going a little whacky. They start dreaming about things that never happened, new people start showing up. Then you get to Stage 6 and find out that the big bad has been invading peoples dreams all over Gensokyo and tonight it was the heroines turn. Then it's a giant "GTFO MY DREAMS" battle.

- final boss is Mima, final stage is the Holy Palanquin ( supposed to be turned into a shrine, but whatever )
- when she's defeated, she pulls out a detonator, and wants to take the heroines with her
- however, the heroines manage to escape aboard Evil Eye Sigma, before the ~~Black Noah~~ Holy Palanquin self-destructs
- in the end, it turns out that everything in the game was just Cirno's dream
