Problems with EOSD English patch

Hello.

I realize this is pretty simple problem, probably with a simple solution, but I just can't figure what it is.

I just got my copy of EOSD and installed it fine, I think I installed the v1.02h update patch (It's hard to know when it’s in Japanese!) Tried to install the v0.8 English patch but it always says 'installation failed'. I've been running it still in the Japanese locale and I've checked to make sure the files weren't in read-only mode. I don't know, I'm not that bright with these things. Here what my game folder is like anyway: Screenshot 
Maybe the update patch didn't work? I'm not sure what to be looking for.

I don't see anything missing in the folder.

Start the game up and check the bottom-right corner of the screen (next to the FPS counter) and check the version there. It should say "ver 1.02" if the game was patched to 1.02(h, in this case). If not, then well, update it  :V

If it is indeed 1.02 and you couldn't use the English Patch on it, then there could be a number of reasons. A screenshot should be provided at this point.

I just checked the game and it does say ver 1.02.
What should I take the screenshot of? (sorry ><)

You take a screenshot of whatever error pops up when you attempt to patch the game.

The instalation seems to run through the full way, but then the error message.

Not exactly the image I was looking for. I was hoping that I'd get a screenshot of your DOS-box which would probably contain the error in it. Here's my patching attempt which went right as an example:

If you don't see a box when running the patch, then that could be a problem  >_>;

Hmm, yep.
I don't get a DOS-box like that.

I can't take a good shot or expand the window though because it runs so fast and the error then appears.

Ah, the extraction step. So it's just before the DOS-box appear. Hm. So I can conclude that it won't "patch" the files because the DOS-box doesn't run. Since this is beyond my knowledge, there's only one workaround I can think of at this point. Check your PM box (My Messages at the top).

Strange that it wouldn't install for me though, even on my other computer (using Vista).
