Enmahat is pretty much just awesome. Yukari also has a kickin' sweet ribbon. I'm usually indifferent toward bows, but I really like Youmu's. The way it sits on the side of her head is kinda cute, I guess.

Anyway, gradient hair is awesome too, and is pretty much the only defining feature on Byakuren, with the exception of RAINBOW scroll.

Keine is not bad, but I don't like it, one too many of them have poofy Remi like hats. Sanae in this case is my favorite one, a simple frog pin makes a girl's cuteness standout than a large ribbon imo.

I don't know why but I love the prismriver sister's hats. Alone they're pretty meh but with all 3 together they compliment eachother

Also love Marisa's hat. That bow on the hat really makes it for me. Iku's hat is also pretty classy imo

Gonna have to say Reimu. It stands out as being utterly atypical - while others have hats or ribbons, she has some sort of wraps for her hair, complimenting a bow that doesn't look exactly like a bow.

Edit: I say all this knowing that everyone in Gensokyo has pretty unusual headgear of course. Something about those wraps do it for me, I guess.

I'm still not convinced that Byakuren has multi-colored hair. Never will be. It's just the lighting from having a purple scroll directly above her head.

With that in mind, best head accessory is definitely Iku's hat. How can you not love those giant ribbon things?

Truth or not, I imagine gradient hair is here to stay. It just looks too nifty to do away with.

Far as actual hats go, Tenshi's peach hat is my winner.

Today at a Japanese restaurant, the waitress had the same giant red back-bow-ribbon thing that Remilia has (it looked good on her too, totally didn't look out of place. Sometimes when I see people wear stuff that happens in anime or whatever IRL, it looks weird). It took a great deal of discipline to refrain from gushing enough adorations about it to make her scared of me as a stalker or someone creepy >=P

Actually, Suwako's hat is plain boring. Weirdness is how Reimu's hair ribbon/bow stays up without getting affected by gravity.

Ah yes, how could I forget Tenshi's hat? What makes it especially awesome is the fact that the peaches make you immortal if you eat them :V

I love Meiling and Patchy's hats too. Meiling has a badass star on it while Patchouli has a kickass moon on it. And the color and design of the hats compliment their outfits.

And Hina's hairstyle and ginormous ribbon are adorable too.
