Take that unusually difficult early game Fire Emblem map!
So, chapter 13 (but only chapter 3 of Hector's story). I need to recruit Guy with Matthew, get both out alive, and clear away a large amount of enemies as normal. Now, I had an idea, which was to get Matthew close to Guy, recruit Guy, then take Matthew away with Marcus and deal with the enemies from there. To get rid of some stragglers near the boss, I split the team in two and sent Oswin, Eliwood, Bartre, and Rebecca to the upper path.
This all seemed to be going fine, until Guy started going after the top team. This left me up a creek without a paddle, as now I had to go into a purely defensive game with the upper team, blocking the enemies with Oswin and taking away his weapons so he won't counterattack Guy, with Rebecca and Bartre taking potshots from behind. On the other side, the enemies all ganged up on everyone else at once, with me being outnumbered. Through lucky RNG and using everyone to their fullest, I dealt with all those enemies, and got an idea. I took Guy with Marcus, made my way to the top, killed the final enemy that went towards the top team, and recruited Guy. \o/
Finally, the boss. Since Eliwood is still only at level 2, I wanted him to kill the boss. This was not easy, as Eliwood could only do 2 damage and the boss would leave him at 1 HP with only one attack. Cue softening him up with Hector and Marcus, and I decided to at least try with Eliwood. He only has something like a 65% chance of hitting and the boss still had 6 HP. He attacks Eliwood and leaves him with 1 HP, and...
Eliwood criticals?! Huzzah! Cue a great level up, map complete with everything done right.
Ah...this is what Fire Emblem's all about!
