>You try to find an easy way to go east, but there really isn't one. It's easy to get over the stream, at least, it just takes a good leap on your part.
>You push your way through the foliage, thankful you had worn some long socks today, and slow make progress eastward. You can most definitely see motion up ahead. Something...greenish? There is a thick copse of trees in that direction.

>You continue onwards, watching the green thing in the gloom ahead.
>...Wait. How can you see it, there's not even that much light...
>It is about a twenty or so yards ahead of you. You're not sure what it is doing, but it seems to be about the size of a person.

> Make absolutely NO sudden movements.

>You freeze up, keeping all motions as subtle as possible.
>Your heart is racing; your chest tightens. It's getting hard to breathe. You don't know what this is. How can you see it so well in the the gloom? What is it?! Your mouth is uncomfortably dry.
>You can't determine if it's hostile or not, but you don't think it can see you. It has to be something alive... It just has to. It's all green, though. But you think it is shaped like a person. A person...with horns? You don't know what it's doing, it seems to be moving between the trees.

>You stay still and watch it, as it moves from one tree to another. You think...it's placing its hands on them? Or maybe something near them? You can't see very well. You are dimly aware that your mouth is hanging open.
>It reaches toward another tree, then it turns it head toward you.
>Its eyes, eyes of red flame that that you can see from here, bore into you! You have to run! You have to run now! It's knows you're here! Oh god oh god oh god!

>You take a slow step backwards, trying to ignore your pounding heart and shallow breathing. You try to speak, but you can't find your voice. It's hard to even focus your thoughts!
>It watches you with its eyes of flame, as it reaches out and touches the tree beside it. You have to run, you have to! This thing isn't natural!

You...just, god, this is the second time today you've been absolutely terrified for your life. But, now you've seen it. The world is wrong. You've seen it with your own eyes.

>If so, approach cautiously.

>You think you'll be alright now. You feel less bad now.
>You cautiously approach the copse. Nothing particularly unusual happens.
>The copse is overgrown with grasses that must survive well in the low light surroundings. You have to let your eyes adjust a bit before you can do much else. The trees hear are growing closely together, with a couple having vines running along them. There are a number of flowers here, blooming among the grasses and on the vines. It is rather pretty, but you aren't really in the mood to enjoy it. The tree that the thing disappeared into doesn't seem unusual at all. You'd take no notice of it if it weren't for what happened...

>You approach the tree and look closely at it without touching it.
>You don't know much about trees at all. You're not sure what kind of tree this is, but the leaves seem to match some of the others around here, and it doesn't look to unusual. It has some flowery vines on it, but some of the other trees do so as well. You really don't seem any features about it that stand out. Regardless, being close to it makes you feel a little uncomfortable, You can't shake the fear that thing is going to reach out and grab you.
