Let's 1cc UFO Hard!

A friend had told me, "Hey, if you've run out of care bear stars to dodge on Normal, then go for Hard!"

Being the idiot that I was, I tried it. With UFO. Yeah. The one game where Hard is considered to be Lunatic for others.

But I digress. I tried it, stage 1 was WOAH THAT'S UNEXPECTED. Actually, no, that's how it was the entire time. But on my first try I beat Ichirin, so I'm thinking, "Hey, this is pretty fun."

One attempt later, and this happened.

Death on Nazrin's Pendulum because I don't know what to do. Help?
Perfect Kogasa fight? WTF?
Two deaths on Ichirin's noncards, and it'd help if I could remember which side of the screen to go to on her second boss card.
Murasa was a mix of "HOLY CRAP WHAT DO I DO?" and nervousness from being able to live that long. But Dipper Creeping Close is easy.
And stage five was a mess...

Either way, if I actually use stage practice a few time, I might be able to 1cc it... But it has to be a 1cc, because there's no way I'm beating Hiziri with two lives.

IMO, it's easier to time out Nazrin Pendulum on Hard then actually clear it (except maybe with SanaeB/MarisA). It's not that hard to dodge everything in the corner.

Perfect Kogasa fight; what. That's pretty good.

As for Murasa, especially if you find Dipper Creeping Close to be easy, then you just need to practice her a little. The first spell and noncard are pretty easy, and the rest may require a bit of practice.

Stage 5... Shou is evil, etc etc. Bombing midboss Nazrin is better then doing her normally even if you can cap her card, because by beating her faster you get a bunch more UFOs for lives/bombs.

Stage 6 can give you 5 or 6 bombs, so if you get there with 2 or 3 extra lives, you should be good to go. Just don't be afraid to bomb Byakuren's stuff, because at that point, dying with bombs in stock can and WILL kill a 1cc.

I have no idea how it happened. Super Water Repelling Monster was WOAH, the first boss card was panicking, but the last card still seems easy. :/

Yeah, I figured as much. But I was trying to see how far I could get... But I missed red UFOs because of that.

Well when I'm at Byakuren with like 3 lives and 6 bombs, I tend to get like "Ha, I couldn't lose now, so I can try to cap some of these cards~"

1/1 here. Mainly because I've only seen it once. But I'm curious to see replays of how other people are doing it, now...

I've never found it that hard. :/

1 capture on Normal, 0 captures on Hard, never got to it on Lunatic.

It's supposed to be easier on higher difficulties, but I can't get the 4 corners strategy to work.

Tried it again, now.

I beat Shou. I suicided on the first bullet of stage six since I'm not 1ccing that crap with .75 lives and .66 bombs.

I captured Radiant Treasure Gun now that I wasn't panicking about it and bombing it on first sight.
2/2 history with Dipper Creeping Closer.
I had the silliest capture of Kogasa's first boss card.

...I can seriously do this.

Why am I double posting? I tried to get as far into stage six as possible. And I have three notable things to share from YouTube.

One: Hiziri's curvy lasers are not hard.
Two: Kogasa is the most lol boss ever.
Three: Dipper Creeping Close is not too hard. I bombed it on my most recent try.

Other than that, I know that I can seriously 1cc this crap now.

Oh and the lasers in that card aren't particularly dangerous. Its the stars that makes things problematic.

It's still not anything that can't be beat NO HORIZONTAL YEAH!

But practicing by timing out the normal version no horizontal helps, too, I guess.

Still, Kogasa will surprise me by letting me live or fail complete when I get to her.

You might want to fix whatever it is with your encoding process that's stretching the video out.  It looks like you're resizing it to 1280x720 instead of 960x720 (Youtube shouldn't mess it up without the pillar-boxing, but you also didn't add those).  The framerate also looks low, but I'm not entirely sure why that is (maybe FRAPs isn't set to record at 30 FPS).

I don't have FRAPs and thus have to resort to Camstudio for the time... Which can't handle the awesome 30FPS that I want it to even if UFO is set to 1/3 frame skip.

But, yeah, I'm resizing it to 1280x720 because, well, that seems to get it in HD for me... Though there isn't really any visible difference between 720 and 480, to me. Maybe.

This run i was just supposed to figure out how to capture nazrin pendulum but it turned out to be one of my best hard runs yet. Until stage 5 where i lost all concentration and proceeded to fuck up so bad i want to  :colonveeplusalpha:

Usually, I'll get to Stage 6 with like .5 lives left, suicide, then use continues over and over again until the game itself crashes.
