Thanks for deciding that every fan panel only needs to be an hour long, Otakon. At AB, we didn't cover all the things we wanted to in a two hour time slot for the Touhou panel. Now how are we supposed to condense a subject that we could talk all day about and now have experience covering over a two hour period over a time span half that size? Go pound sand up a rope.

On a happier note, I'm up for both Pickles and Tir na nog. Don't care how busy either are so long as it doesn't interfere with the pre-reg line. Majority vote wins out where we do go, but I can get most of the things at Pickles any day of the week while Tir na nog would be a new experience altogether.

I can't remember fan panels at Otakon ever being scheduled over an hour, unless they were the super-gigantic ones.

I usually avoid the masquerade like the plague but motherfucking Yoshiki will be performing at some point during it.  I'm pretty sure I'll have to go.

Also fff, the art auction starts at 11 AM as usual, but I don't think they'll go through everything in an hour and a half before the home made kazoku concert starts. ;_;

A good plan, I think. I know the masq is important to a lot of people, I know there are a lot of fans of it, and I know there is a little creativity in a couple odd skits, but after going to the one at AB '07 I was totally disgusted with my breed of fandom. The whole con was awkward enough without the masq, which wound up making things even worse.

Oh yeah! I'm set! All 4 costumes finished and ironed, wigs trimmed and styled, props touched up, and nearly all of that will be a moot point by midday Thursday! I'm set to go! Let's cram all of my unnecessities into that tiny SUV!

Thank goodness there's the half hour in between each panel. I sorta hope that we can abuse that time as much as possible. A 1 hour Touhou panel is definitely restrictive, but if it were compounded with AB's back-to-back schedule, we would certainly fare far worse.

My plans are hammering out a bit more - I can possibly pop by the Touhou gathering on Friday in my Witches 5 getup (in which I am afraid of sitting down because I made the pants waywaylow rise  :ohdear: that and my midriff looks a helluva lot better in the original upright standing position let me tell you) depending when the rest of my friends wake up and get dressed and all that jazz.

Maybe?  My bus gets in 7:45pm, was hoping for the earlier one but my friend (the one I somehow convinced to make Aya) couldn't get a clear answer of when her roommates were going to be down so we figured better safe than sorry.  So we'd have to get to the con area, drop off stuff, maybe do prereg then if you all are aiming for like a late o'clock seating I might be able to come?  Or maybe I'll be assembling costume parts in the hotel room all night with the rest of my last minute slacker cosplay friends WHO KNOWS.

If not it's not like I NEVER SEE ANY OF THE MOTK CREW for the rest of the con.

Come Thursday night, I am going out to eat something other than bread crusts so that I may fuel my body in preparation for 60 hours of time poorly spent on self humiliation, indulgence, and consumerism in a number of activities that I should have purged myself of years ago in order to better my career, bank account, and potentially my girlfriend situation.
