HakureiSM:

This is pretty neat.

Also music doesn't get nearly enough attention.

Silent Harmony:

No it doesn't (admittingly I'm as much at fault for this as anyone).

I'll listen when I get home.

Mushyrulez:

omg wtf is this music im hearing STOP IT OH GOD STOP IT I'M GETTING TOO JEALOUS >_<

No, seriously amazing work. Though honestly it sounds a lot (too much) like ZUN's; I dunno if that's a compliment or an insult, but...

And I couldn't hear anything in Fires of Hokkai besides that drum beat thing (which kills my ears because of my earphone)... maybe touch it up again?

Silent Harmony:

Oh look it's the thread I said I'd listen to and didn't. Oops.

Okay so being really average at best in terms of music and critique so I can't give the best advice. Here's my best shot:

Overall the two tunes I heard (listed below) were very well done. Aside from some specific nitpicks (also below) I really enjoyed what you have done so far, and eagerly await more.

Pandora's Box

* The intro (mainly measures 2-4) needs work. I know out-of-sync notes can be cool if done right, but when they aren't it just sounds random. This is a case of the latter.
* Your main melody, especially when played by the low-mid (I'm guessing string) instruments, sounds way too slurred at times, like it's being played on a low-quality synth. This is especially true during the fast notes.
Tengu Club

* Like the thunder sound effect. Added dramatic effect but not distract the listener, very nicely done. Almost wish you used it again, maybe just once more, because without a visual to go along it kinda sounds like it was tacked on and doesn't really serve a purpose. (Yes I realize I basically contradicted myself; I hope you got the point)
* Very end felt kinda random, is it supposed to be a solid loop? It doesn't resolve the piece, in fact it sounds it's leading to something. However the loud dynamic and suddenness of it feels completely off from the comparatively calm intro. I suggest looking into it.
I hope that helps, take it or ignore it as you see fit, I'm no expert.
