Anyway, situation update: I will discuss the final details with Serp today, and tomorrow evening (my timezone), the game will start. That means signups are closed after today. Please watch warmly~

As much as I hate to kill budding interest in Mafia, we may need to start being more selective in who signs up for a game.

Mafia is a game, yes, but it's a long and involved game, which makes it a serious commitment to your fellow players regardless of your alignment. People really need to give signing up for a game harder consideration in the future; disappearing and quitting are both slaps in the face of your fellow players, and slaps in the face of your game host.

Seriously uncool.

Lesson: Don't sign up for a Mafia game if you're unwilling to put forth the effort it requires. You will be ruining the game for everyone around you otherwise.

Rules for players intending to sign up:
New players we've never seen before: Link a game completed somewhere. Discretion up to the mod of the game.
People who've been lurking: Probably take a look at your general activity and conduct, link to prior experience is also preferable.
People with a bad history: Subject to approval from Godmothers, the current mod and any other management.

With all the impending modkills and stuff like that, this game is turning out to be really unfair and really irritating.  If Nobu doesn't get a replacement, it would lead to a total of 3 modkills in a 13 player game which is quite unwelcome to the mod (who spent the time to type the flavor and determine the roles) and anyone playing.  Giving up because posts are too long or because you do not know what to do is pretty much inexcusable as a result, and signing up because you think 'it could be fun' doesn't really cut it.  Do your own research into how the game is played and don't hesitate to ask anyone.  Also, as mentioned, make time.  It takes up to an hour to type a post at times, for example, which means plenty of commitment. 

I wonder if a "Beginner's Guide to Mafia" sticky here would be appropriate and helpful, though?

I will apologize for the inconvenient position that my weekend vacation falling on end D1/early D2 put me, I didn't expect it to interfere as much as it did and I was at fault here.

But in case that detail was missed, I did not quit/request a replacement because of a lack of desire to play nor a lack of time, if some of you were implicating me in your criticisms here). My ability to participate in this game was compromised by a fluke accident that I cannot share more details about right now, due to the possibility of others reaching the same fate as me.

...a lot of people, including myself, are terrible people. I need one more delay to get my game created and reviewed. This NORMALLY wouldn't be a problem but my fucktarded reviewers for internet mafia decided to all take a simultanious holiday and *gasp* never actually REVIEW the damned thing. I'm been on their asses but it's still like a 50% chance they'll ever get to it, and as I said, starting two games at once doesn't make me happy. Once I have one running I can get the other one kicked.

My game is MotK flavor mafia with lots of role madness! I've also tried really hard to make it balanced and, as far as the design allows, fair and fun. It is POSSIBLE for really bad things to happen and turn into a trainwreck, but super unlikely. Huhwhat reviewed (and still is I suppose) the setup with me and ironed out of bunch of kinks too, so don't worry, it... should... be fine.
