We can maintain speed while using the gems, right?

>If a few yards is enough, get directly in front of the statue and fire upon it using the the purple gem in an attempt to halt its progress. Make sure to maintain speed while doing this.

>You move in front of the statue, and direct the Purple Gem to unleash a stream of shots. You are rewarded with the sound of rending metal as the shot collide with the Statue forcefully. Glancing back, you can see it rapidly falling behind as it spirals out of control from the impacts, parts of its chest and torso blown open.

>Form a makeshift sword with the gems like we did back in the bamboo forest.

>Frantically cut wires exposed at the torso.

>You draw upon the Red and Blue Gems, and create a sword of heat and light.
>As the Statue recovers from the collision with force danmaku, you whirl around, close in and hack into its exposed torso and chest. There is no question that your motions lack grace or skill, but nonetheless you jam the blade into its wounds, cutting into its intricate mechanisms and no doubt wreaking all kinds of damage.
>The Statue continues to ignore you, still emitting it's high-pitched scream-like noise as it breaks away from you. It does its best to right its course and continue onward toward Scarlet Devil Mansion. But the damage has taken its toll, it's less able to fly straight now, and it doesn't seem to be accelerating as quickly. It is losing altitude as well.

>Fly ahead of the statue again and prepare to launch another attack.

>You aren't sure. But if nothing else, you know it's capable of single-minded determination to the end.
>Looking over, you see her approaching and estimate she'll arrive in less than twenty seconds.
>You maneuver ahead of the Statue with significantly more ease this time.

> If possible, attack it from above with the blue, red, and purple gems together and try to force it to the ground.

> While shouting as needed "Meiling! Help me shoot this down!"
> Use Force Danmaku on it body to break it up more and pour fire from the Red Gem into the exposed parts.

>As it's having difficulty keeping its altitude, you are already a little above it.  You move the gems upward and fire down upon it. The Purple Gem's shots batter on its head and shoulders, denting them and forcing it downwards, while the Blue Gem's begin to cut a hole into its metallic form. You direct the Red Gem to force on the exposed parts. It doesn't seem to have a visible effect, but from the way that it starts to twitch, you know the application of that much heat to its intricate mechanisms is affecting it.
>You cry out to Meiling. "Coming!" she shouts.

>You keep pace with the Statue, continuing to assault it with the gems. You're hurting it more now, parts of it are beginning to fall away under the Gems' assault.
>You try to speak into the Enchanted Button, but you're not sure of Patchouli was able to hear you over the general chaos.
>Suddenly you hear a cry above you! A moment later, Meiling soars downward, foot extended. She strikes the Statue's chest, jarring lose several mechanisms and leaving them to fall to the ground below. She quickly brings down her other foot, stomping it, then repeats the motion with her other foot, creating a motion looking curiously similar to someone riding a bicycle as she and the Statue plunge down toward the ground.

>They hit the ground not too far from the lake shore. The Statute doesn't seem to be moving. Meiling, on the other hand, seems to be pumping her fist and shouting something you can't quite hear, but involves the phrase "My house!"
>You land close to Meiling. "Hey, I dunno what that thing was," she says, ceasing her prior activities, "But thanks for softening it up for me."
>The Statue is twitching a bit. Suddenly it's head turns, locking its eyes on Scarlet Devil Mansion. It lifts an arm about an inch from the ground, and for a moment you think it is going to try to drag its battered body onwards. Then the arm falls. You feel the last vestiges of its influence on the gems fall away.
