So yea, the fighting games are awesome, and I was wondering what you guys expect form the next one!

If you have any idea of any character's movesets or something, say it here!

By the way, apart from new characters, what do you guys expect from the next fighting game? 

Personally, I think that no matter what, it should feature the songs from IaMP, I totally miss 'em when I'm playing 12.3..

Considering that Kaguya and Mokou were cut from 12.3, I'm expecting them to show up in the next one. Should they, I'm curious to see what they turn out like. I'd also like to see every character have a story mode again (12.3 only had Cirno, Meiling, and Sanae, probably because it was an expansion rather than a full-fledged game).

No more weather but keep 12.3's other mechanics because I'm dumb. Better character balance. Bosky Sweeper grazes again. All characters who didn't get secondary themes in soku get secondary themes. Yukari gets Charming Domination instead of Necrofantasia, though. Also, a playable UFO character. Possibly a playable Hatate as well. More people with good connections to WC who actually netplay it.

This statement is quite true and agreeable. Although I'd also think it would be cool if they had Nitori or Kogasa. >.>

New storyline characters. 12.3 didn't have any besides Namazu and Hisou Tensoku, but they weren't playable...

Also, alternative costumes. Not just color swaps. Genuine, different costumes.

Assignable combo buddies, resulting in special duo attacks when activating them.

Iku/Kanako + Hina = Giga Curse Spinner

Marisa + Yuuka = Divine Spark

Reimu + Meiling = Fist of the North Star

Etcetera.

I would like 2 vs 2 though, especially with netplay. Would be super fun for casual play. But they'd probably need even larger stages.

if I were expecting a new Touhou official fighting game:
- IaMP/Soku grooves (selectable playstyles like in SFA3/Melty Blood Actress Again); fights between two players using the same mode would feel like they're playing the same game
- a new mode would be welcome, too
- IaMP mode maintains aerial guardcrushes/guardbreaks, bombs, spellcard declarations (which refill the red portion of the player's life) and melee properties for Spark, Flare and Green/Blue Sword (however, Soku groove users could still block on the air after being drained/crushed.. though then they would have to use Border Escapes to avoid aerial guardcrushes) and the 2 melee + 1 shot button configuration

if I could make one fan-made game:
- I'd try to include Last Spells and Last Words
- there would be flight mode, where the player couldn't block or "graze" through projectiles, but have his/her hitbox size reduced for bullets (actual grazing would be possible) and have their projectile potential enhanced. This feature could be used for movement or offense option.
- characters could feint their moves and use certain special patterns (like some EX-attacks from PoFV. One example being the ring of homing amulets from Reimu)
- perhaps throws (with whiff animations) would be interesting too

Translations.
How much time do you guys think it will take for HM to be translated? Besides everyone's story modes and the whole menus, there's also the fact that the way HM's programmed is different from all other games. I bet it'll take two months.

lusvik: I don't mind about playing HM in japanese. The language of punching other people is international.

I'll just take a few ideas from the old "Hypothetical Movesets" thread, and add some new thoughts too.

Byakuren! I want to see her use her scroll actively as an extendable blunt weapon.
And have a super where the scroll runes fly from one end of the screen to another.

Now here's a thought. Byakren has a giant power backdrop like Yuyuko, and uses butterflies and all, so she could very much be nearly a Yuyuko clone.
And I'd like to see her use Shou and Nazrin like Yukari uses her two shikigami. That'd be funny. And a bad idea, atually.

Mokou. Who fights with her hands in her pockets, of course.
Flandre, who has a 5-card super in which she crushes the opponent's eye of tension.
I suppose Satori would also be a good character to implement, though I have absolute no idea how it would be done.

Characters who are not playable should have their own spellcard, acting like an Assist Trophy of sorts, for the lack of a better example.

Wasn't Byakuren's specialization "Magic that increases her physical abilities?  She'd be natural for a fighting game if that's true.

Also I do want the return of some form of customization.  Non-playable-characters as summonable 'support' spells sounds great to me 8D

I think Hina would be kind of interesting in a fighting game, even though playing/fighting her would probably be like controlling/fighting a top that has a tendency to spray danmaku, heh.

If Tasfro and ZUN can think of an easier way to do a 4 player battle than Guilty Gear Asuka, then I'd probably give it a spin.

Fucking do it. Yuugi was overdue for a fightan game as it is, so I can bet we can see her in one (we already have Suika so what harm will another oni do?)

Also any and all characters I suggest are pretty much nil from appearing, so I won't go too deep into who I want to appear in there and just sit by and let this pass me by like DS did.
