You head into the guest room. As to be expected, it was pretty empty... or at least is now. The futon is still there, though probably not for lack of scavenger's attempts. Two pretty heavy beams are pinning it down.

You briefly ponder if there is anything under there you'd want. You decide that in all likely hood, Murasa didn't keep a telescope under the guest bed.

You can leave to the inner-temple through the guest room door.

You head in.

The startling unchanged nature of the temple rears it's head again. You...think you smell blood.

You wouldn't exactly say you wouldn't be caught off guard there. You pull yourself together so you're ready should someone actually attack.

You receive no response. You guess it was kind of foolish, this place doesn't smell like anyone has dared to touch it in ages.

You're not sure if it is a bit too late or not...

> Examine surroundings. Mentally prepare yourself for what you may see.

You look around. It's...a hallway. You don't see any blood, but you can smell it. The terrible smell...

You try and whistle a bit to keep your spirits up.

> Wonder if our mind is playing tricks on us.

It could be possible. Something is amiss, at the very least.

>Look both ways down the hall, assuming we're not at the end of said hallway; go the direction that seems more likely to have rooms.

You look straight down the hall. You're at the back of the temple, so it makes some sense you'd be at the end of a hall. Doors are on both sides of the hallway.

You open the nearest door.

It appears to be the storage closet for cleaning supplies. You don't think a telescope is here.

Unfortunately, the first result is what you believe to be footsteps ahead!

You were hoping you'd find murasa's room first, too. Shame.

You look towards the footsteps. To your partial surprise, you see SHOU THE TIGER. Given how many people've survived, you shouldn't be surprised shes still around.

You relax a bit and instinctively move towards her to greet her, at the same time, you notice the gaping hole in her neck, abdomen, her partially detached left arm, bent spine and backwards leg, and the fact her head is turned completely 180.

You're a bit taken back, understandably.

You attempt to greet the former tiger youkai meekly, and get no response as the corpse limbers towards you.

You've a bad feeling about this.

You don't even get a gurgling noise as the corpse shifts closer towards you, less then a few feet away.

You get Mackette summoned and in the floor already, this is beyond your creepiness factor.

You back the hell away and ask Mackette to do her thing. She leaps out and lands a direct hit, passing straight through Shou.

She reports a miss, and that she can't find the enemy anywhere. In fact, you're not quite sure what you were backing away from either.

You're in the hallway and alone at the Myouren Temple, and it suspiciously smells like fresh blood.

You could really use a hug.
