> Grab a weapon from another Suit of Armor, preferably a spear of some sort.
> Fire Danmaku at the exposed parts of the limbs and it's eyes, and when the chance arises, throw the weapon into either an exposed limb portion, an eye or the mouth.
> Get the spider between you and Lily, fire Danmaku at it's rear end to see the effect, or if it's facing you, ask Lily to fire at it's rear.
> How armored is the spider? Am I right in thinking of a giant spider with no extra armor or anything like that?

> How armored is the spider? Am I right in thinking of a giant spider with no extra armor or anything like that?

Well the exoskeleton of a spider (or any creature with more than four legs for that matter) basically functions as natural armor. Sure, to us a normal sized spiders' armor isn't very sturdy since we can just squish it, but when your at equal size it's pretty tough. Nothing compared to beetles though. They have the best armor.

> Once it finally breaths it's last, consider cutting open it's backside ad use some of it's web as a make-shift net. Might come in handy.

>If the bookshelves are still up, fisticuff it to knock it down onto the spider
>Ponder what this spider has been eating other than our cookies

> You're not in the library! And you can't make it past this spider!

> Possibly a mutagenic megavirus capable of transforming anything into a giant, violent monstrosity.

> Grab a weapon from another Suit of Armor, preferably a spear of some sort.

> How armored is the spider? Am I right in thinking of a giant spider with no extra armor or anything like that?

> You snatch the next sword from an armor. While the spider attempts to attack you, it triggers the explosion trap! Some of the armor protecting it's brain is destroyed.

> You toss the sword into the leg. The spider reels in pain. It can no longer stand.

> You sprint around the other side and shoot it in the thorax. No visible effect.

> It's armored from head to toe. Only the legs vertexes are unarmored, possibly so it can bend it's legs. The insides are still wet, and gooey. The rear appears to be unarmored, but that's likely because there's so much skin, it doesn't affect it very much.

>Figure out if Lily is packing slugs or buckshot.
>Ponder how Lily knows how to operate and reload a boomstick.
>Stop imagining Lily as Duke Nukem saying, "Eat SPRING and die!"

> She is currently packing what appears to be an M1014 Benelli Shotgun loaded with buckshot.

> How should you know? Reflex, maybe.

> You really would. But she just said it before unloading another magazine.
> "I ought to break a season off in your ass!"
> There it is again.

> "She's locked behind a massive steel door that's sealed by a DEAD ZONE barrier. It's to keep me from accidentally opening the door and releasing her. When you let her out, just remain calm and introduce yourself. She'll take care of all the zombies running around the library."
