Running the article through Google Translate, it looks like this is sort of an StB remake. Refurbish old characters, add new characters and so on.
Also the release at Reitaisai seems like it'll be the full game, not a demo. So there may still be a 13 on the cards...though it's not like ZUN to be so productive keep it under wraps. :/
Still sort of disappointed he's going back to StB - it doesn't come across as the sort of idea you could make more than one game out of. Eh, guess Reitaisai will reveal all.

I see nobody here actually cares about the mystery shrouding all the characters that have been introduced after MoF. I must be one of the few that actually care about the background story and profile of each character. There for a PMiSSII / BAiJRII could be arriving around the corner. Especially because 9.5 also covered all EoSD to PoFV chars (including IaMP).
My opinion but if you only care about overhyping speculations about Th13 then I am wondering what kind of Touhou fan you might be? Really, that is just bad imo. Also so many raging on going on IRC and forums now.

Except that, well, he DIDN'T announce PMiSSII. He announced a sequel to a game which he didn't properly finish in the first place. Where are those Phantasm stages, again?
What's the Japanese response to this, anyway? Obviously the entire Western fandom (save the Aya fans) is descending into raeg.

We already established that Touhou 13 will come this year, maybe winter instead of summer. There is no need for raeging.
