>Attempt to redirect the metal attack by making the Blue Gem move away from you and near the cilia of the Oni Eater so it can detect its motion.

>As the Blue Gem is doing very little at the moment, you send it forward to try and distract the Oni Eater.

>stop being an idiot about ignoring the magnetized mass of heavy metal being weaponized against you

>You look over in time to see a menacing cloud of manacles and chains flying at you! Having little time to react, you leap to the side toward a less dense part of the cloud, then duck and try to roll to the side into the clear. You wince as a manacle collides with your shoulder and a dangling chain tears at your ear. Then a terrible shock runs through your body, as though you had just fallen from a great high. You're dimly aware that something must have struck the Red Gem.
>Getting back to your feet in the way of the hail of metal, you see that your spellcard has wavered a bit, but is still holding and starts into its next shift. Unfortunately, several of the familiars were destroyed by the metal, leaving several gaps that will take a little bit to replace.
>The Blue Gem is now about 30 or so yards ahead of you, you don't feel it can go any further from you. The Oni Eater does not seem to notice it, or it does not regard the gem as a threat. But with the light closer to the center, you can see a lot more of the chamber than before.

> Attempt to destroy the cilia with the red gem.

>You direct the Red Gem to launch a few more fireballs, smaller and less powerful ones in hopes that volume can make up for power. They whiz across the chamber, but the Oni Eater is aware enough of them to skitter away. One of the fireballs burns the edge of its carapace. More happily, you manage to drive it into your spellcard's line of fire, and a few more of the bullets slip through its armor, drawing more screeches from it.
>You are starting to become more familiar with the Red Gem's power with the practice you've had, it's not particularly suited for long range attacking. You'll have to either get closer to the Oni Eater, and break your spellcard, if you want to use it effectively. Or somehow get it closer to you.

>You focus more attacks from the Red Gem on the Oni Eater. This keeps it moving around, sometimes into the path of your spellcard, but it doesn't seem to have much desire to get any closer to the thing that is raining fire upon it. Rather, it seems to be moving further away, towards a corner.

> Check the direction from which the metal movement is coming again, the spellcard should be enough to keep this thing occupied while we focus on dodging.

>You look over to the left, and see the gathered mass of chains and manacles flying up toward the ceiling and slamming into it. Then they suddenly shift direction, streaking toward you again.
>This time, you are better prepared, able to watch how the metal is moving, and slip between then without too much trouble.
>Your spellcard shifts again, and with the familiars restored it has finally begun to weave its full web. The Oni Eater skitters to and fro, trying to find gaps within it. While it is too large to effectively dodge, its carapace seems to deflect most of the shots. Still, the web is dense enough that a few manage to get through.

> After dodging, move closer to the Oni Eater to trap it into the corner.

>You get as close to it as you can, while being able to maintain your spellcard. You think, maybe, if you stretch the Red Gem out as far as you can, you may be able to put it to better use now.

>You continue to keep the pressure on the Oni Eater, slowly whittling it down. You are able to strike it with a few more fireballs at this range, while the spellcard strikes at what gaps that it can. The Oni Eater continues to hold its mandibles open and pointed toward you, doing its best to keep its head safe.

> Continue barrage, but stay vigilant and ready to avoid the metal.

>This would be immensely satisfying, you resolve to pull it off if at all possible.
>You keep the pressure on the Oni Eater as much as you can, keeping an eye on the chains and manacles as it sets them up again. Then it lets them fly, and you prepare to spring into action. But nothing comes your way this time. Instead, the metal slams into your familiars, smashing practically all of them and ruining your spellcard's web. It'll have to be rebuild again.
>You hear the Oni-Eater moving again, with your back turned to it to have watched the metal, and you are certain its coming at you!

Ok, I have a plan but first of all, how big is this room in the caves? 10 feet, 15 feet, ect... Next, could Reisen fly up to the Oni Eater fast enough to have the Red Gem burn the creature and then Reisen flying away, Hit-and-run?

>You start to move before you even turn to face the monster, and manage to avoid being impaled on one of its lance-like mandibles by a healthy margin. It whirls about to face you with impressive grace for something that is so large and moving so fast, all of those legs must allow it for have some impressive traction and control.
>This close to it, the smell of ozone is pretty overpowering. You don't know if it is safe to try to on its back.
>It is only a couple of yards from you now, with its mandibles still spread. You can see its mouthparts twitching.

>You jump into the air and take flight. Thankfully, it's not so windy or cold down here, so the primary practical concern isn't such a problem. Being unable to use your danmaku, you direct the Red Gem to fire upon the thing. It complies by unleashing a huge gout of flames in the Oni Eater's face, causing it to shriek and scrabble backwards out of range.
>You spellcard shifts again as you do, but with the familiars restoring themselves, the the web is not really any use right now.
>Having a better look at it back from the air. you think you could decend down upon it. The cilia, which you notice are also armored in chiten, do not look very pleasant to be walking among, and you suspect the larger ones may be dangerous to you if they have any strength to them.

>You cancel Lunatic Sign: Visionary Tuning.
>With the card canceled, you start to fire normal danmaku at the Oni Eater, letting your breathe out in the process. With the two gems empowering you, it is amazing how much of it you are able to create now.
>The Oni Eater tries to snap at you, but with the distance between you and it, it is a futile gesture. You fire at its face and whatever gaps you can find, hitting the gaps in its carapace repeatedly. It shrieks more, the sound a little more watery now, and twists to face you, opening its mouth.

>You fire into its mouth, while directing the Red Gem to focus a blast of flame after it.
>As you do so, it suddenly spits a gout of white fluid at you! It collides with the flame, and much of it evaporates with a terrible hiss. Some of it manages to get through, and splashes upon your face, hands, and clothes. Where it touches you skin, it burns terribly. A terrible odor fills the air where the liquid was evaporated.
