> West

>You go west. The corridor sways slightly to the north as your follow it.
>After a short distance, the corridor widens to a small chamber. Against the walls, you can see numerous twinkling lights, akin to stars in the night sky. It takes you a moment to realize there are a number of crystal deposits in the walls, reflecting the light of the Blue Gem. It's actually rather charming. You can feel that another Gem is here, somewhere. Obvious exits are East.

>You draw the Blue Gem close to you, and walk close to the walls. The latter turns out to be a particularly good idea, as you have another dizzy spell, and having the wall to steady yourself against is nice.
>Soon, you see it. A cut gem, slightly purple in color, set on top of a small outcropping near the floor. Its facets are cut into pentagram shapes.

> Take Purple Gem

>You take the Purple Gem. It tingles as your wrap your fingers around, and you feel a momentary desire to hug it to your chest. You feel it adding its power to you, strengthening you. You know, in your heart, that if you had found this before, the Oni Eater would never have stood a chance against you. You suspect, if you wished to, you could rival Eirin or Kaguya now. Still, even with such thoughts in mind, it's hard not to feel a rush of glee as the Purple Gem opens itself to you.
>You can this gem in empowered with Force. It gives you visions of danmaku-like barrages, and mingling such with the other gems' powers.
>You stand up, as the Purple Gem floats away and joins the rest. Then you feel another dizzy spell.

>You aren't too badly wounded, just some sore muscles, bruises, and that cut on your face. But, you were splashed with that liquid the Oni Eater spit at you. You think that you might be poisoned. If that is the case, you don't know how long you'll last. But in retrospect, you really don't have much choice in the issue aside from getting back to the city.

Other voices: Get the hell out of the maze and back to the city, the money and pin aren't worth the effort to search for right now. I would reverse engineer more of the directions but I'm tired and can't think properly.

EDIT: Also, worth debating the merits of who to see first when we get back. Satori's the most likely to be sympathetic and might have some minor quick fixes, but Yuugi's the most likely to be impressed and would be the best choice for an assisted return to Eientei where Eirin will be able to fix us up proper (hopefully).

>You retrace your steps out as well as you can. Thankfully, your memories have served you well, and you return to the sulfur-smelling chamber at the edge of the Oni Eater's territory. Along the way, you do find your pin and money pouch, thankfully both stand out against the stone. While losing the money would be merely be annoying, you're quite happy to have found your pin again.
>You obtain: Crescent Pin
>You obtain: 125☼
>The dizzy spells are coming more often now, and you are finding yourself very happy that you skipped the lunch offers you had earlier today.
>From here, as long as you have the map, you should be able to find your way back to the Ancient City again. Wasting no time, you start the long trek back. As long as you can get back to civilization, you should be alright...
>Minutes pass, periodically you have to hold to the walls to stay on your feet. "Hey buddy," comes a low, whispery voice in your left ear.

>The blonde woman doesn't seem all that bothered by your eyes, but you do replace your Pair of Dark Glasses.

>You keep this in mind, as the two of you stumble onwards.
>Yamame talks about the weather as you walk, about some interesting stalactites, about the best place to catch fish at the river, and so on. It is not really all that interesting, but listening to Yamame prattle on is...relaxing in its own way. It lets you focus on something other than taking the next step. The caves themselves before more distant, more like a picture that you're looking at; when it stays still. You don't really feel your feet hitting the ground anymore. You can't hear Yamame anyway. When did she stop talking?
