> To the Underground!

>You decide to return Underground, where all the cool cats are.
>You pass through the Forest of Magic without incident. As expected, the wolf trots along behind you. He hesitates for a moment at the mouth of the cavern, then follows you in.
>You are stand in a long section of wide, rough tunnel. There is a spiderweb along the wall and ceiling. It reads "Shop at Kourindou!" backwards; apparently it is directed toward people leaving the caverns. Obvious exits are North and South.
>You see Kisume further down the tunnel, she is sitting against the cavern wall and seems to be eating something from a tin can.

> Pass Kisume and head further into cavern.

>You pass by Kisume, and are relatively sure that you won't find any other bucket-occupying peoples.
>You note Kisume giving your lupine follower a wide-eyed stare as he trots past her.
>Soon, you come to a lonely bridge spanning over a swiftly flowing subterranean river. Up ahead, you can see lights and an old stone gateway that leads to the Ancient City.

> Ponder how hungover Parsee is gonna be in the morning.

>You cross the bridge, and pass through the stone gateway.
>The tunnel flares out into a immense chamber, filled with numerous buildings. Lamps light the gloom, while muted music can be heard echoing throughout. Up above, just at the edge of the light, you swear you can see clouds. You can see a few people milling about up ahead. A street runs along the western edge of town, as well. Obvious exits are North, South, and West.
>Judging from what you saw, she was very deep in her cups. You expect, by the time she comes around, she's going to have a whole lot more to be jealous of the world about for awhile.

> Head for the Palace of the Earth Spirits.  We might wanna see if Satori has any info on the jewel that could be down here.

>You pass through the Ancient City, and make you way toward the Palace of the Earth Spirits. The wolf follows you, but he looks extremely nervous. Thankfully, seems smart enough not to mess with the few oni that you pass, and the oni don't seem to notice him at all. He does linger a bit around the food stands, but when he sees that you aren't stopping he hastens to catch up.
>You reach the Palace of the Earth Spirits. It is a large, imposing sort of manor that looks more like a fortress than any kind of home. The walls are made of stone and set with stained glass windows. Flat roofs give the the structure something of a boxy feel, and neatly hide any hints of architectural beauty. Moss covers the outer walls, add some much needed color and texture to an otherwise drab and dreary place. Snow stands upon the room as well, taking some of the edge away. The way to the door has been neatly shoveled. Obvious exits are West and North and South.
>There is a two-tailed black cat lurking near the door. It looks over at you idly, then screeches and leaps to its feet! The wolf takes off after it like a shot.

>You knock on the door. No one answers at first, then the door flies open and Satori rushes out past you. "Orin?!" she cries. "What happened?!"
>A moment later, the two-tailed cat appears around the west corner of the palace and runs toward the two of you; you can hear the wolf barking close behind.

>The cat runs toward the two of you, leaps, and scrabbles up on top of the open door. There is barely has room to balance up there, but the cat is safe for the time being
>"I-I see..." Satori mutters, as the wolf tears around the corner and approaches the door, barking and wagging his tail while the cat hisses at him. You expect that you have a few seconds before he jumps up against the door and knocks it enough to dislodge the cat and either begin the process anew, or catch it.
