Making references to other games

:P Muse is the final boss of Kioh Gyoku. And an absolute bitch of a final boss at that. Her fight is known to last longer than all the other matches in the game put together. She's also the penultimate boss of Banshiryuu's extra, and arguably the hardest boss in that stage too. It should also be noted that her theme in Kioh Gyoku is one the most bad-ass things that ZUN has ever written (imo of course). Did I mention that she is awesome?
Edit: Hmm, that's interesting. It seems that in BSR you can make items on the screen auto-collect by grazing bullets. You know, like that one Touhou game. What was it called again?

The music of the 1st MOF stage is supposed to be a reference to gradius or another oldie (someone talked about it in the mof thread when the game was released).
Also ZUN said somewhere in the bonus text that there was some references to his 1st games in there too.
