Holy fuckin shit. I just lost no lives to the prism rivers. I wasn't exactly pressing bomb to death either. (though I did bomb noisy phantom dining, even though I know I can do it I got myself trapped in a corner  )

On a related note, UFO stage 6 unlocked for stage practice after the world's greatest example of why it is better to be lucky than good on LFO. Go in 0/1, deathbomb on the first colour of waves, then dodge everything else with a heart rate of 180bpm.

Not really.

Granted, she may shoot slightly deviating shots and whatnot, but that's all up to you to dodge; her position governs the rest of it.

I also have about 10-15 1D/B timeouts if that really counts for anything. Oh and about 400 "attempts" at Syou all up.

I don't even have that many attempts on Kanako, which has by far the highest spell records out of any boss in the series (I believe my VoWG attempts are in the 280s or 290s), and the only ones I can think of that come close are Satori-Yukari (115 for BoWaP) and Utsuho (115 Nuclear Reaction, 74 Subterranean Sun, although let's face it, that boss fight dwindles in difficulty, so Nuclear Reaction is the indicator of the most important part).  Ex Sanae has 100+ runs because I was a newb and restarted SA Extra a lot when I was going for the clear, and some IN Spell Practices break 200 because I was trying to capture Lunatics and Last Words when I was a Normal/Hard player, but few other cases even breach the 50s in attempts.

Heh, I did that just now as well. For me, the trick is to go quiet a bit to the left from Shou. Almost had a Vajra timeout in the same run, but died in the last few seconds from a bullet I didn't even see.
All this at 1am, while I'm feeling seriously sleepy.  :V

Am somewhere in the forties in terms of attempts at Shou. I think my highest is VoWG, with 121 tries.

Wait, Catwalk has 127 attempts, with Orin's first having 72 surprisingly.

I should probably point out that I did that timeout in one of the worst conditions ever. This was in fact, leaving my window blinds open and having the Summer!Sun glare into my eyes. Well, more like reflect off the white pebbles and into my eyes.

While talking about attempts... there's (only) ~200 on Byakuren, with about 100 done in the last 2 weeks. Kanako at 150, and SA-Extra at who knows what thanks to me deciding to try NV blindly. Hard!Minoriko is at 1xx thanks to scorerunning determination. Everything else is at 120 and <

400 for PCB!Alice if you count me learning to graze the spiral at the start.

All games now 1cc'ed on normal save for HRtP and SA. Also, cleared the extra stage in MS just recently.

I just beat Utsuho on lunatic. Not so impressive in the scheme of things, perhaps, but I only just 1cc'd hard 4 days ago. I can feel that it's is basically at (or a bit above) my threshold of skill at this point. 20-something attempts in a row with that level of concentration is... very draining. I didn't capture any of her cards other than Ten Evil Stars, but came within an inch of Peta Flare and Subterranean Star. Now (once I recover), to run it on practice a bunch, and learn to capture things without the pressure of actually getting past the whole thing on 2 lives (and thus bombing more, etc.)

Oddly, Blazing Wheel is still significantly more likely to kill me on any given run than just about any single attack Utsuho can throw at me, which just seems wrong somehow. >.>

Beat flandre with reimu B. She's kind of fun once you get used to her. Counterclock, maze of love, and "and then will there be none?" always seem to at least consume a life or multiple bombs, while I usually cap cranberry trap, levaiten, four of a kind, and starbow break.
Got to ripples of 495 years for my second time, so glad I had an extra life because I died just as flandre exploded(just like my run before that one, except I hadnt had the life and I RAGED.)

Finally beat Kanako Easy with FUCKING REIMUC. On to Marisa.

ReimuA breaks things too easily; going to swap (back) to ReimuB I think. The score is lovely though, especially considering that I didn't Bomb or die to increase the score further. The "shot indicator" made too many Spell Cards trivial for me. Case in point:

That's the "revised" history you're seeing; throw another 120 from the other score.dat and you'll see the number of attempts that I've had so far with ReimuA alone

. That said, I reckon that I've improved considerably over the last half year. The scribbling out is to indicate the timeout successes.

- Phoenix Rebirth after, uhh ... 30 tries. The first two waves are relatively easy (if not extremely easy). Then BAM, the third one is completely messed up.
